When I mentioned...
(Preview)
When I mentioned Huet playing himself into a #1 starter several times over the last month or so, I was ridiculed! But rightly so, who would of thought our best goilie would be Huet at this point of the season?
Gainey needs to keep using him so he can work on the misfits in front of him! If he g...

Doug Weight possibly to Montreal?
(Preview)
A couple different sites have been saying Philly, Calgary, Montreal and Ottawa are likely destinations for Doug Weight. He's said that he wants to play for a cup contender (so, maybe Montreal is a long shot). 2 questions:
Would you take him?
What would you give for him?
For me, if the price i...

There's a lot of talk here about floaters but yet this guy seems to escape critsim. Why is that? He's the biggest floater he hardly ever skates hard only sometimes when he has the puck does he seem to go. Even when he has the puck he usally just ends up giving it up because he takes on three guys at once. You ca...

Anyone Going to Habs Leafs Saturday?
(Preview)
After the Habs performance yesterday against Ottawa, I'm almost afraid to expect a better performance tomorrow night. They better, I had to fork out a lot of money for these seats. Man, this is really starting to get depressing; we've witnessed some poor performa...

The Canadiens seem to be reaching new lows on a weekly basis!
Losing Saturday night in Toronto would take things to a whole new level though!!!
...but maybe it would spark some serious action!

Only in Toronto......Where you have major sports news with the General Manager of a so-called NBA franchise fired but the takes second place to The Leafs on the front page of the Toronto Sun where there's a big picture (6x10) of The Leafs Belfour whose team lost again - seven in a row (hopefully 8 with th...

Theodore to Hamilton?
(Preview)
Wouldn't this be a great idea....send Theo down, call up Denis, and let Huet and Denis try to backstop our way for a bit, see how Theo does down there. Its not a bad idea to put a player down in the minors who still has game in him, i mean, he is only what 29 years old, he should still have game in him.&nbs...

Hockey Night in the Himalayas
(Preview)
Tonight's game reminded me of that old Wayne & Shuster shtick, Hockey Night in the Himalayas. You old-timers will remember that one fondly, I'm sure. The ice seemed tilted, with the Habs skating uphill all night.

Crosby for Captain?
(Preview)
I read over on Yahoo Sports that the Penguins are going to be finishing this season with three alternate captains. However, next year, it was Crosby who was in the front running to become the new captain. I know the guy is their 'markee player" so to speak, but to Captain an NHL team at 19 isn't right.

Does anyone else feel drained??
(Preview)
Or is it just me ? As I watch a game I keep trying to invision what is wrong. This is the worse team I have ever seen. Its embarassing to watch them. In a couple of weeks the players will fly off to play in the olympics. I will tell you one thing. If Kovy and Koivu produce many goals in the olympics ,...

Oilers Lowe..showing how it's done!

Oilers sitting in 8th spot and not being content! Lowe wheeling and dealing to improve his team! Also did great things in the off season!
Gainey, again you missed out! How can we expect you to handle a dual role when you haven't done your primary role yet! Might as well leave the coaching...

Does Bob want them to start throwing punches tonight during the game or at today's practice?

Who was wearing 14 Last Night?!
(Preview)
I couldn't believe the way Bonk was stickhandling behind the Flyers' net last night. The guy looked like he had some offensive talent.
Speaking of talent, Streit seems to be missing a little of that stuff -- as well as strength. The only physical contact he made last night was by way of cross-check...
