You played baseball in the Bronx? Were you from there ?? My grandmother lived in the Bronx, what a tough place. She lived on Bronx Blvd right near a place that made bread it was called Bond Bread. I actually loved going to visit her in the 70s. I would walk to her corner store and work the fountain. Boy I can t...

* I saw Steve Shutt speak at a sports supper this weekend and he is easily the worst afterdinner speaker I've seen to date. He was brutal and provided very little insight, humour, or carisma of hall of famer. It was disappointing because he was always an idol. It's a good thing he cou...

Mine goes:
d-Markov, Bouillon
w-Zednik, Ryder
c-Koivu
g-Theodore
Obviously NOT the best six Habs (Zednik?, Theodore? yep I still like them, even if they suck and should be traded). Ryder's the only newcomer to the t...

Why not dress Dandenault as a winger!!?
(Preview)
He has tremendous speed and he can get out of the D, where he has been playnig bad and Cote has been an extreme adition to the D. what do you guys think. He can add speed to the Fouth line.

RDS/SRC

Hey guys...I just joined the forum today. I'm from Nova Scotia and the only way I can watch Habs games is on SRC, CBC when playing their "beloved" Leafs, or TSN. I thought SRC had a deal with RDS to show all saturday games. But the game isn't on this afternoon forcing me to listen to the radio. I was wo...

No one can help the Habs but themselves
(Preview)
With the Habs in a race for the final playoff spot, the other teams won't let up. TO, ATL and TB all winning tonight. Therefore, it's up to the Habs to fix their own problems and win games. Huet won't be able to win every game for us so it's up to the rest of the team to win it for us tomorrow.
We are 3 point back...

Fun for the upcoming break
(Preview)
I figure since we'll all have some time on our hands coming up, a few entertainments might be in order.
First up: Spot the Puck. A twist on an old British favourite where they take an action picture of a Football (soccer) match and obscure the location of the ball. Then you guess where it is, and wager...

Sum it up

Basically we have a pretty decent team on paper. But the problem is:
1. Just plain bad goaltending. This will deflate any team. Contrary to what many of you guys think about the "team effort", on some nights I though the habs effort was there, just got the wind taken out of the sails due to shoddy...

Game Thread BOS vs MON Feb 4, 2006. Note start time of Noon EST.
(
1 2
)
(Preview)
Well, Montreal at home is a different team than on the road. This is a should win, a must win and an "I-hope-they-show-up-and-win" win. If Huet starts, Habs 4-2. If Theo starts, Habs 6-5.

"Who est" le Numero Un?
(Preview)
Cristobal Huet has now played two very good games followed by two superlative ones. It should be a no-brainer for the coach. Leave him in until he screws up. Theo can spend the extra time off the ice to pamper his hair.
Agreed?

Why board is quiet!
(Preview)
Notice the board is quiet after a win. Probably because we are in shock! LOL!
Actually think people are too tentative to get positive because we know that we have yet to dominate a game this season! It's a fight for every win and as Nil pointed out, mostly by one goal! If we jump on the bandw...
