I've always wonders, and plan to ask a friend of the family ( NHL Linesman ) one day...What happens if a player say, hooks a player down and a delayed penalty is assessed. During the delay, the same player slashes/trips/roughs/highsticks any other minor penalty before his team touches the puck, is he then handed a second penalty and an extra 2 minutes? Or is only the 1st penalty called and the second one dropped? OR Are both penalties recorded but you only serve 2 minutes because both were called at the same time? I've seens players commit a 2nd penalty during the delay, but are NEVER called for it...is there some sort of rule? I know there are some refs on the board...any answers guys? Thanks

It is supposed to be 2 penalties served back to back. If it's 2 different players, they are served same time. BUt it isnt called because refs dont want to impact the outcome of the game (which is hogwash)
Good stuff Newfiehabsfan!! I must admit to another fault of mine, sometimes when i type i put capitals on words in the middle of a sentence if i feel it is an important word. I hate whenever you try to make "I" look like a big word like say in this sentence " Tim HATES jump rope " ... "hates" is capitalized to make it have more meaning but if you have a sentence that says " You said that I was the main problem, not the group " The word "I" just looks like its being spelt grammatically correct instead of adding that "importance" There must be someway to get around that...AARRRGGG!!!

I've called 5 penalties on the same play once. It depends how much balls the ref has. In the NHL not many referees do it. But it is still done to a certain degree amongst those NHL refs.
