Who I liked today:

I like Perez and Kovalev together - they click

I like Pleks with Bulis - they had a good game

Bonk played will with Begin too, Higgins was solid

Cote is a pleasant surprise on the D - him and Komo seem to play well together

Nice to have Markov back and Souray played like he did 2 years ago.

Keep it up against Philly - we need to build a streak.

I hope you don't mind me adding to your post but I also liked the sixth d-man dressed! That gave room for Kovy to play first with Higgins and Saks. Also spot duty with Ribs and Perez. It just seemed to give us a little more balance of an attack! Especially with having Ribs play with Downey and Ivanans in previous games. Ribs had no one to pass the puck to.

Also we don't have a work horse D-man that can handle big minutes so dressing a seventh guy is the way to go.

AB-solutley, I was thinking the same during the game, I like Kovalev with Ribeiro, although I'm not entirelt sold on Perezhogin.  In the last few, Ribeiro has been contributing.

I thought AK was dynamite today, he may have only registered one shot, but had some good chances, and a goal post.  Maybe he switched back to the old sticks again.  Plus that guy can handle the puck, is there anyone in the league with moves like his?  I dont think there is, but I am very biased being a long time hab fan.

I don't understand, I mean I can tell you like Kovalev (hence your avatar), but he hasn't been a long time Hab.  This is his first full year with the club.

You know the weird thing was that I thought Ribeiro played the best I've seen in a long while with Ivanans and Downey. You give something up doing that, because as AB Habman points out, those guys aren't going to finish the passes much. But Ribeiro was way better with those guys on the ice. He was braver, and at times looked like he was ready to just score all by himself. Maybe the best thing would be a compromise, Ribeiro with a sniper and Ivanans.

Dressing a 7th d was a great move. I hope he does it again against Philly. Keeps them D men from getting tired

I dont think just admitting to being a long time habs fan to be biased enough. ?I think the fact that your a habs fan AND you have a picture of Kovalev on your profile what makes it biased haha, and to answer your question, Ovechkin,...Love crosby all you want....but Ovechkin is the talk of the town. This guy is INSANE!!!

Your absolutely right.  Ovechkin reminds me of a more intese Kovalev.  Very similar skill levels, but big difference in drive.  I don't think Ovechkin knows what the word quit means.  Did you see the highlights of him and McCabe the other night?
