Johab?
(Preview)
Hey, where's Johab been?
When I answered Frank's question in another thread regarding who Figaro is, it got me thinking - where's our other moderator these days? Unlike him to go 3 days being quiet on this board...
Jo, we miss you buddy!

Here's how we win tomorrow...
(Preview)
Dress Markov and just have him sit on the bench - whenever he is in the lineup we seem to win.
Do not play Streit at all!! He is useless.

I'm all for increasing the number of contributors to this great site; many of the newbies have been bringing really interesting perspectives on things.
However, I count eight separate threads directly or indirectly relating to beating the Leafs tonight. Could we all please try to stay wi...

Habs Fans - 7th Player
(Preview)
Today Saku commented that when the team is on, the fans at the Bell Centre become a 7th player and it totally gives them the edge. I just hope it won't be the typical crowd we see at a Habs-Leafs game where there's a whole section sold to Toronto fans who made the trip to catch the game.
So if the crowd reall...

Keys to beating the Leafs
(Preview)
1. Stay out of the box, 5 on 5 they are terrible. They can only score on the PP.
2. Get traffic in front of Tellqvist, he has difficulty when there is traffic around him.
3. Use team speed to burn the slow Leafs d-men.
4. Force the 4 of the Leafs D (Richardson, Berg, K...

Koivu drought ends tonight
(Preview)
As you are all probably aware of, that Kovu is on a 19 game goal drought. However ironically the last he scored was against the Maple Leafs. I think the drought ends tonight. Telly is good but not great. I think Gianey will put Abby in goal tonight. Cross your fingers fo...

In Order to Win we need our First Line

give our best players more ice!!!
(Preview)
Don't you think our best players should get more ice time. I'm just guessing here but in order to be productive they have to see more ice.Ribeiro over 19:00 minutes he has the most ,is he our best player? -- Edited by doodie at 21:22, 2006-03-22

Why I love Komisarek
(Preview)
I played my first 10 years of minor hockey on defense with nothing but a wrist shot from the point. I switched to wing in my late teens out of sheer embarrassment. I never thought I'd see the day an NHL defenseman survived without a slapper (even scores a goal!!).
I always hoped any one watching assumed...

On Besoin A Vous

Yesterday and also today, RDS (montreal canadians "sports network") Said that "on besoin a vous", this means we need you the fans. Koivu said the keys to winning the game is unconditional support from the fans, and Jacques Demers said who was the former coach of the Habs, we should reunite the K...

realisitic expectations
(Preview)
There seems to be a perception that the current edition of the Canadiens are having a dissapointing and under acheiving season. The question is, is this team simply playing to its capabilities? Coming into the season the so called experts predicted the Habs to finish no better than 6th, but more real...

It is true that saku has been in a funk lately and his numbers have been declining, but is it fair to blame him for the teams funk. Absolutely not. You guys actually think a player can effect the whole team into playing bad. NO. Its a collectivity of bad attitudes and slacking....

We're still in this folks. Not playing great, but have they really played "great" over any stretch of the season? As soon as they drop a couple everyone turns and starts bitching about the leadership, Gainey, Koivu, Kovalev, etc., etc. They win one and everything is coming up ros...

by marioroberge on HFBoards.com: "As much as I am a Koivu supporter, as of late the guy has not really shown up despite what people are saying about his linemates. How many games has he gone without a goal now? Yes, he is a playmaker but he should be scoring from time to time as well. The problem with Koivu i...
