Kudos to the coach! Injuries happen...and a few guys have clearly been playing hurt/sick this past week...by rolling all four lines and keeping the icetime down CJ has kept the Habs playing well! With back-to-back games, I think limiting the top lines to 14-15 minutes per night has made a...

For a little fun, what would be your worst starting 5 non-goalies for Montreal, using players from 2000 to the present who've played a full season for the Habs at least? Mine: D-Patrice Brisebois, Patrick Traverse W-Randy McKay, Mariusz Czerkawski C-Trevor Linden ...

Hard to fathom, but the Habs are .500 lifetime against Buffalo - 87 wins, 87 losses and a bunch of ties. So tonight's game is the rubber match. I'm surprised by that stat; I didn't remember the Habs having a particularly tough time against the Sabres over the years (Philadelphia, O...

Torterelli lit into his players after yesterday's loss to TO and you can bet that his boys will be looking to step it up against MTL. This one will be the toughest test of the season.

Good luck to all of you at the Gohabs reunion Have a great time and raise a glass to all of us here who couldn't make it. Can anybody take some pics and post them?

I was watching Pierre Dagenais "skate" last night, on one play where he actually had the puck for two seconds or so. I must say, he was painful to watch. If there's a worse skater in the NHL, I'd like to see him - NOT! If it wasn't for his shot, he'd be toiling in the East Coast League - or l...

And-o thinks that the list of Habs who have spent time in the trainers room these past few days and weeks is very revealing!!! .....the bottomline though is that, in order to have continued success, the Habs need some healthy forwards manning the "checking lines" (especially this upcoming week) ...

Anyone else wish they would put the standings in order of win percentage? (like in baseball) This way you wouldn't get artificial division leaders (same points but with 3 more games played)

Well here we are ..10-3..who would have thunk it? Anyone who can sit here and say with a straight face that they would expect the Habs to have this record at this stage needs to go into politics. Somehow the Canadiens have won their 11th of the season in only their 15th game!!! It was one of the team's better efforts tonight, and it was spearheaded by a couple of players: in particular Higgins and Markov, with a side of Kovalev and Koivu. Higgins put in a good showing in his first attempt on the se...

I think it might be time to get rid of the "Thank You Fans" on the ice. while a nice gesture, I think we're all settled in now, and can do without it taking up half the ice behind the blue lines Or am I just uber-grumpy going into the third with Buffalo?

Nil d · Nil d

..... is really looking good out there tonight. Zednik, on the other hand, seems to be having trouble putting his stick on the puck. And Dagenais is about as useful as a bag of hammers. 2-1 after two. Look for the Habs to score three in the third (you heard it here first). :bi...

Three points again last night - and could have been more, judging from the great set-ups I saw on NHL.com highlights that were not converted. Anyone still doubting if this kid is for real (and remember he is all of 18 - just turned, at that), wonder no more. Wow.

JohnM · JohnM

Ward and Hossa seem to have stalled in NY. I guess Habs mgmt know what they are doing. Hossa doesn't have a pt in his last 4 games and is a -2 over that time. Ward is -2 on the year and he's supposed to be a good defensive player.

Who would you consider the most overrated and underrated habs of all time?

brooklynhabfan · brooklynhabfan

Apparantly the injured Martin Brodeur was in net for 68 straight games against New York Rangers - 56 in the regular season, dating back to December 1993. Pretty incredible I wonder who's the hab goalie with the longest uninterrupted streal against the Leafs.

This season, 13 Canadiens games will show up on TSN's National coverage, and another handful on CBC. Many, including myself, have inquired why don't the Canadiens have their own regional English TV network, like the other Canadian clubs do. Well today I phoned in to Mitch Melnick's radio show o...

Honestly i believe our habs are the best matched team to the senators in the eastern conference. The only place they hold a significant edge is Defense. Our forwards can match them speed wise and maybe even fast. We have just as many guys who can put the puck in the net. We have a good checking line and i hon...

So far in the early going I have seen the HABS come back from deficits in a lot of games this year. Something we have not seen for a while. I don't know if it is a result of the new rules but I like what I see. GO HABS GO!!!
