Hard to fathom, but the Habs are .500 lifetime against Buffalo - 87 wins, 87 losses and a bunch of ties.  So tonight's game is the rubber match.  I'm surprised by that stat; I didn't remember the Habs having a particularly tough time against the Sabres over the years (Philadelphia, Ottawa  or Washington, yes).  That stat really surprised me when I read that somewhere.

By the way, I see Jacques Demers with a bunch of papers in front of him on his broadcast desk.  I wonder if his illiteracy has perhaps been blown up a bit to sell books?

I remember the games lost. The Perrault, Robere, Martin Line were muderous against us. They had Dave Dryden in nets too.

Dave Dryden? Who's he?

I do remember Bob Sauve, and Don Edwards before he went to the Flames. There was also Desjardins, but that was just before my time.

Ken's older brother

If memory serves, there might have been a single dryden-dryden match up

I noticed them to (on RDS)...I think it was 1 of 2 things (or both):

1 - It's part of the uniform, a prop most sportcasters have.

2 - Numbers are easier to read and maybe they were taylored to his disability.
