Anyone else wish they would put the standings in order of win percentage? (like in baseball)

This way you wouldn't get artificial division leaders (same points but with 3 more games played)

I am not familiar with the baseball win percentage system of standings. Personally, I like the points system. I realize you have to take into consideration the number of games played by each team, ect. But, the percentage sounds like a good idea, but it is unlikely that the NHL will ever use it.

you'd still have points, but a % stat would just be "total potential points divided by actual points"

Or even simpler, Percentage = actual points/(games X 2)

Yes, you got it right, I was backward on that. There might have been beer involved. Or a general dismal failure in the math department. Or both.

Actually I hadn't noticed that you had it upside down.  You should have said Actual points divided by Potential points.
