What Theo does for this team
Goaltending rankles Tortorella Compiled by Phil Coffey NHL.com | Dec. 30, 2005
Tampa Bay Lightning coach John Tortorella is no shrinking violet. Everybody knows where they stand with Tortorella, a demanding presence behind the bench, to be sure.
He doesn't...

Loss last night
(Preview)
The loss last night can basically be boiled down to poor play on special teams.
We won against Tampa Bay because we were able to score on the PP and shutdown on the PK. Last night we couldn't kill penalties and couldn't score on golden opportunities. We could barely get in the zone when on the PP.

Dagenais could be useful if given a limited role...
(Preview)
...whereas Ribeiro just makes And-o sick!
Seriously, Pierre Dagenais is a useful player...he simply needs boundaries, as in selective icetime and certain roles!
If Ribs were waived would ANYONE bite??? This kid is just ruined...so soft...so easily nullified!

No Koivu...no Bonk...no Plekanecs...and now no Begin!
And-o fully intended to rip Julien apart after playing only five defensemen (which just simply makes ZERO sense on an extended roadtrip) again last night but, given the injuries, it simply would not have mattere...

My Team
(Preview)
As many of you know I have been coaching for about 16 years now at various levels. This year I am coaching a High School Boys Team , AAA, which i sthe highest level you get in our province. At any rate, it is really strange but our season has really mirrored the Habs season in alot of ways. We started out of the...

Questions and Observations
(Preview)
Just a few questions, I just saw a thing on celebrities who had passed away in the sporting world on RDS, and saw that Paul Buisson (sp?) passed away, does anyone know how. He did a regular show on RDS before Habs games. Very big gentleman, his shows were very interesting.

Possible Av's being scouted...

And-o sure hopes these rumours are true...cuz this raises some "cap friendly" options!!!
Just have a look at guys like this;
Powerplay D-man - J.M. Liles - 25 yrs old - on pace for 19 goals and 37 assists ($450K/yr)
Defensive D-man - Kurt Sauer - 24 yrs old - on pace for 8 goals and 8 assists (this guy...

For those of you who are watching the World Juniors....

Is it just me or are these refs worse than our NHL refs. You thought the calls were bad in the NHL. This is PATHETIC!!! Some of the calls make NO sense at all...others arent even called...Im going crazy watching these games. Your lucky if you can watch 2 straight minutes of 5 on 5 hockey!!!

Good to see maligned players score
(Preview)
Zednik. Dagenais, Bulis, and Souray scored last night. Except for Zednik (who had been playing terrily a while ago), all low-scoring guys. Even Higgins and Streit had points. Good to see they're not depending on the same old bunch for a change.
And Theodore - 3 goals on 4...

Petition for a no Hab Olympics
(Preview)
If you have any interest in at least a little excitement for the rest of the year, why not do as I've done and drop Bob a line urging him to let our guys rest fot the Olympics. It'll never happen, but maybe it would give him an idea that there may be a little dissent in habland

This may sound negative or crazy but we may be better off in the long run if Habs lost ten in a row! Winning every fourth game isn't forcing Mr. patient to do anything at this point! We need to make changes to this roster to have a chance at post season! Why not force BG now rather than chance mis...

Groundhog Season
(Preview)
Year after year, I keep waking up to the same shallow team, with the same problems, just different faces and names.
Thanks Montreal media. I'm pretty sure now you and those fans stuck firmly in the 70's have made it damn near impossible to ever assemble a decent team.
What, with your warm welco...

Can someone please explain to me why Danis is in Hamilton instead of Huet? Now that I have seen Huet play a few games, I feel safe in observing that he has a very weird style of play. Once he is on his knees he is down for the count! I though the second goal he let in last night was pre...

Good win!
(Preview)
Good win but it changes nothing! In the long run talent always beats hard work! Gainey still needs to fill holes!
On a positive note, the less than steller Habs deflected a consecutive road losing record for now!
After some turkey, let's hope BG has energy to be active!...
