This may sound negative or crazy but we may be better off in the long run if Habs lost ten in a row! Winning every fourth game isn't forcing Mr. patient to do anything at this point! We need to make changes to this roster to have a chance at post season! Why not force BG now rather than chance missing the playoffs!

Sacrifice losses now for a chance to win later!

Many teams have gone through slumps this year. I find that this year teams have been strealier than ever. For example, Vancouver right now is on a downside. They started off really hot (like the Habs). Buffalo started terribly and now cannot lose (write this down. Buffalo goes into a slide before the season ends. You heard it here first. My point is, for what it is worth. alot of teams have gone through extended ups and downs this season. Even Ottawa lost 6 of 7 befor egetting back on track recently. I am not sure if it has anything to do with either the layoff or the new NHL. I just find it strange this year the amount of streaks, losing and winning.

Well, I have noticed that as well. If this is a biproduct of the new NHL I do not like it. And what is it with these layoffs anyway??? What happens in February when they are off for 2 weeks.

Barry, I'm trying to get a read on your response to my post! Are you saying you think the Habs have the roster to turn this thing around and go on a long winning streak? Another words we should stick with this roster and Gainey stand pat and try to scratch a win every fourth game until we go on a win streak? What are you saying in regards to my post?

AB- No I still say this team needs changes and no, not coaching. If Koivu is not healthy or reliable we have an urgent need for a center, now not later. I mean we need one even when he is healthy but we really do now. I feel we cannot continue without help up the middle. We need help between the pipes but we need to hope that Theo comes back to life. If w eget help at center, Saks comes back healthy. and we get consistent 'tending, we can compete.

When I watch him (saks) skate he just looks tired to me and burned out. He always looks fragile like one hit and thats it.

Yet he is going to play in the Olympics. For selfish reasons I hope his groin is not 100% come Feb and he decides to not play. Same with Kovalev if his knee is not 100%. We need these guys down the stretch and as much as I am sure their countries will miss them, if I am not mistaken Finland and Russia do not contribute to paying down  the Habs salary load.

How did the Habs who played at the last Olympics do after they came back? I have to agree that I'd rather see Sak and Kovy sit this one out. They could use the two weeks off to get ready for the final drive.

Send Ribs, he needs the conditioning, he could be the water boy.

I think given the fact te habs paid their salary when they were out injured, they should save themselves for the Habs down the stretch not risk getting injured in the olympics
