This guy is starting to scare me as a GM! Bulis brings it every night and can play in any positon or role! He's possibly top 20 players in the league with the most speed and he wants to trade him!!!! Sure Arneson's size would help but lose someone else, not Bulis! He isn't hurt...

At the begining of the year, they suggested the possibility of switching the playoff format to a 20 team playoff format. As we stand now I can firmly say that I would NOT want to see this. The habs right now sit in 10th place, the way we've been playing lately we do not deserve to be in the playoffs. H...

I see in my Cristobal that there will be a three-way trade with Anaheim soon that will land Theo in Vancouver, Bertuzzi in Anaheim and Giguere in Montreal. Habtastic

Well we have Jan Buuuulisssssss to thank for the win last night. The hockey Gods (I truly believe they exist) were shining on him last night. The Gods felt guilty over all the goalposts, missed chances, crossbars, blocked shots and blown breakaways Jan had and decided to make it up to him all in one game...

As you obviously noticed Koivu was a non factor again except the lazy penalty of course that cost us a goal! Our top line was Bonk, Sunny and Bulis! Did you notice that after the game, the boys were congratulating Huet and Bulis, everyone including Rivet was excited for Bulis except Sak...

My two cents worth: I think the only reason theo got the starts he did in the past week was because gainey was hoping he would come up with a half decent performance so he would be easier to deal. But that backed fired badlly, who wants a goalie that is 29th or 30th in the league in save percentage,,, now my nu...

I'm just curious to see who likes this kid...i've mentioned before that i do. He's a big boy, a big hitter, smart on the pk and i said i would replace him with Streit when were healthy on the blue line. I'm not a huge fan of Streit, i think he takes stupid penalties, he's not aggressive or a big h...

He has been working out like crazy and is still in game shape. He might not light the lamp, but man did he have heart. Also, hes a great presence in the room. And Gainey and Carbonneau knows him well!

Winning just 2 out 18 road games and we are still in the hunt for a playoff spot. We are very lucky. With 2 or 3 games in hand we can jump into 6th spot. Crazy. We need to get on roll soon.

WoW - I thought he had a yellow mouthguard all the smiling he was doing.

I had to do this outside the game thread but I believe the slump will be over tonight. This might be the beginning of a roll into the Olympic break.

Gainey is so desperate to get Theo going that he'll start him next game rather then give Habs a chance to get on a roll! What do you guys and Habgirl think about that?

I like the idea of Ribeiro playing on the power play. He will be fresh for nearly the entire 2 mins as he isn't getting much ice time otherwise. On the power play you aren't looking for defensive prowess, but rather passing abilities, vision and a quick shot. I have been as disappoin...

MONTREAL (CP) - The Montreal Canadiens, short on size and muscle up front, claimed tough right-winger Aaron Downey off waivers from the St. Louis Blues on Monday. Downey, 31, had two goals and 45 penalty minutes in 17 games for the Blues this season. The Shelbourne, Ont., native previously played...

Remember how bad Brodeur was up until late? He also let in i believe 6 goals on 10 shots, and he, in my opinion is one of the best goalies I have ever seen. He has bounced back 10-fold, hopefully theo will do the same....

As a coach, I tend to anylize the coaching styles and see what I can learn and use on my own team. One thing that is pretty clear to me is that Gainey and Julien are not that much different.
