HUET WILL SAVE US
(Preview)
He will be in nets against NJ and he will lead us into the playoff ... this is the way it is meant to be. I predict that he will get a shutout against NJ. Also, it wouldn't be in true Hab fashion, if we didn't have to wait till the last game to clinch a playoff spot ... afterall they ar...

Sunday nights game is important
(Preview)
If Devils beat Flyers on sunday than they'll move into a tie with them but Flyers are still 5th because they have less losses than Devils. Then when we play Devils on Tues, they'll want to beat us because Flyers play Islanders that same night and Devils will hope for a Flyer loss so th...

Canucks are done
(Preview)
How about that. I'm sure there will be jobs lost and players traded in the off season. One of them is big Bert. He wants out. Also, Naslund hates Linden and may want out unless Linden retires to be Mr. Union.
I would trade Kovy and Ribs for Bert and Naslund. Those guys are still skilled play...

OT - Why the Hamilton JR A RedWings are @#$*&!#s
(Preview)
So as many of you know, i run a men's beer league hockey team. We play at the local rink once a week and we are a decent team for our division. We play "C" division men's hockey. Nothing too competitive, but its a lot of fun. Most of the guys on our team played at some level...

Does everyone remember???
(Preview)
When BG took over he overruled a previous decision by Julien of agoaltending start of Danis in favor of Theo for a few games. We lost everyone and in fact Theo gave up 5 goals in one period. Well those are the points that will make the difference if we are in or out. WE need a strong game against NJ. It w...

Sportsnet is claiming Huet will sit tonight.
Hmm.....resting him up for Jersey? Or do you folks think Gainey's going to continue alternating if they're both playing well through the first round?

IMPORTANT KEY TO HABS WINNING
(Preview)
IN ORDER FOR THE HABS TO WIN OR EVEN A CHANCE TO WIN THEIR DEFENSE HAS TO STOP GIVING TURNOVERS IN THEIR OWN ZONE. THIS HAS ALMOST BECOME ROUTINE IN THE LAST FEW GAMES AND PAID THE PRICE WITH THE OTHER TEAM SCORING! IF THE DEFENSE PLAYS GREAT WITH NO GIVE-AWAYS THEN THE HABS WIN!

Souray still a Habs MVP candidate?
(Preview)
He has been on the highlight real for nicest goals of the year when he's been on the defensive end. Hopefully he won't be turned inside out come the playoffs. -- Edited by JohnM at 22:15, 2006-04-15

SOS Where in Toronto can a Habs fan catch a Habs game?
(Preview)
Just the other day someone posted the name of a bar in Toronto that shows Habs games. Can someone post it again?
I received an email from a desperate habs fan stuck down the 401.

2 consistant lines....
(Preview)
I have been really happy with how our top 2 lines have been lately. The HiKoRy ( hickory ) line has been pretty good, and higgons as really stepped it up playing with Koivu.
Ribs line with Kovalev has been producing pretty well, and Ribs and Kov are great together, keep alternating Zed and Bulis ( id kee...

After we eliminated boston from the playoffs ( for the 3rd straight time ) They are who we are cheering for now, in a game against atlanta this afternoon. It is currently tied 2-2 in the second period. Any combination of a overtime loss, shootout loss or regulation loss for atlanta will secure th...

Credit the Leafs...and credit Sundin!
(Preview)
The Leafs have played nearly perfect hockey over the past few weeks!
In fact, I doubt anyone...especially Ottawa...would want to face them in round one of the playoffs!
Over the past two weeks, Mats Sundin has been the most dominant NHL player since Mark Messier won his last Stanley Cup&n...

If you were an opposing team playing the habs, what line would you put your checking line out against? Are you more confortable with letting saku work is insane passing skills with Higgins and Ryder, 2 capable snipers, running the wings or do you let Kovalev and Ribiero dangle their ways through your l...

When ever I start a thread it always seems to be on the negative side. Well I figured I would change things up. I have really noticed how much we miss this guy. When it comes to 1st, 2nd and 3rd efforts, who can compare to Stevie B? He seems to have a way to get all the players around...

Beating Buffalo
(Preview)
The Habs should stop at nothing to get a win tonight. Winning tonight could create the perfect mind frame going into the playoffs...
Reasons:
• The obvious advantage of getting a W is the 1 point that assures a spot in the post season.
• Buffalo is notorious for sensing weakness in the othe...

My Thoughts

I have not rambled much on here except the odd reply to a post..so bare with me here. Some random observations:
I totally disagree with Gainey playing Abby over Huet. Huet got us this far. What message is he sending Huet by sitting him? As far as rest goes, playoffs are every second night and very int...

OTTAWA (CP) - After the amount of playoff grief Toronto has caused them in recent years, the Ottawa Senators will get a chance to inflict some post-season damage on the Maple Leafs.

Todd Simpson looked tough enough?
Zednik must be in the line up. We have to have him AND Bulis
Begin and Boulion are neccessities for the playoffs. Yes I've become a little bit more confident.
