Question for Mario (or anyone) re: SRC playoff coverage
(Preview)
I don't get RDS at home, and have watched all Saturday night games this year on SRC (French CBC), which is actually an RDS feed.
So what do I get in the playoffs? Will every Hab game be on SRC as in previous years (except they're now an RDS feed, which is OK)? Will every game be on English CBC?...

Where have all the fans gone?
(Preview)
The Habs have made the playoffs in two consecutive years for the first time since 96/97, 98/99, I believe. The team is finally going somewhere and some of the fans have already abandoned ship. They post many negative comments so they can look good if the Habs do poorly but can cheer if the Habs do well. Wh...

Anyone notice this guy is gaining a bit of confidence back lately? He's looked really dangerous in the past half dozen games.
I have a funny feeling about him. Of course he's a rookie, and already inconsistent as it is, so by rights he should be a prime candidate to bomb in the playoffs. But I think he mi...

Although the team fell apart as a whole, Huet was not sharp. I put the blame right at the feet on Gainey who disrupted Huets great play to let Abby play a few. Now our goaltending is up in the air. I may be way off base But as a Habs fan I am totally pissed at this loss. I know we are going to post season, but this wa...

Goddamn boys, some of you really make me laugh out loud sometimes.
When I first came to gohabs.com the big deal was that Gainey was a moron for trading away Garon. Gainey should have been stoned to death according to a few of you. Then....Huet would get his first start, before the game, everyone was sa...

OK, our up and down inconsistent season is over with. Too many highs and lows to mention.
It's time to move on and the cream of the crop to rise rather than being trampled by opposition which happened far too much this season. Throw core names in there like Kovy, Saks, Souray and Theo...t...

Funny quote following the game
(Preview)
Sat in Bob Gainey's post conference when a reported from Sportsnet asked about how Bob Gainey put it, "we got a lesson". Pressed further in English, Gainey states, "we had a few lessons this year, and we might create a text book".
That got a few laughs in the room.

Through the Front Door
(Preview)
Some people will say that Washington's win against Atlanta put the Habs in the playoffs - through the back door.
I heartily disagree.
Yes, the Capitals' win was the clinching event, but what did the Habs do to get to that point in the first place? They had one of the best records in the NHL&nbs...

Playoffs -- Carolina or Ottawa?

After a turbulent season, the Habs are officially in the post-season.
So, who would you rather face in the first round: Ottawa or Carolina?
The Habs have had some recent success against the Sens. However, Havlat, Redden, Philips, Chara, and Fisher will be back in the lineup. Hasek will be ou...
