Where have all the fans gone?

The Habs have made the playoffs in two consecutive years for the first time since 96/97, 98/99, I believe. The team is finally going somewhere and some of the fans have already abandoned ship. They post many negative comments so they can look good if the Habs do poorly but can cheer if the Habs do well. What happened to sticking by your team?

Playoffs start this weekend, let's try to back our team.

GO HABS GO!

Once the Montreal Canadiens are in one's blood, you never jump ship...EVER. The Club will be tattoed on your heart like a stamp of God.

It ain't the Leafs, John.

John, I feel the same as you.  There have been an excessive number of negative comments on this board in the last few months and I am one of those who has limited my postings as a result of that.  We have had players performing poorly, a change of coaches, and the team going through feast and famine.  Most of these things happen with just about every team over the course of a season and we have to live with it.  We seem to have a problem sticking with constructive criticism and want to throw in an unusual amount of drivel and sarcasm which is not necessary on this board.  Lets all appreciate that our Habs are in the playoffs, for however long, and cheer them win or lose.  GO HABS GO.

Murphy, we are Montreal Canadiens fans.

Can anyone deny just how great this franchise is?

I bet more folks will be on this board in the next few days just because of the team and what it stands for.

And-o views himself as a realist...as opposed to an idealist.

...it ain't pretty, but And-o stands by that approach!

The Habs are in wayyyyyyy over their heads...but Gainey will likely approach this in 'bite sized' pieces and challenge the boys to 'just win the first game and see what happens next'!

On paper though...this is uuuuugggggggggggggggggggly!

...fortunately though, the games are not played on 'paper'...nevertheless...no way would And-o bet any serious $$$ that Montreal will win...NO WAY!!!  If that makes And-o a crappy fan...so be it!!!

And-o, you're totally a naysayer jumping off the bandwagon with those negative comments.

I'm a happy fan, I never doubted we'd make it and I have hope for the playoffs.  As long as we keep improving, I'm a happy guy!  But I agree with this thread, some people gotta lighten up a bit on this board, I'm also rapidly losing interest with the massive injection of neagativity the last week.  Seriously, what good does it do anyone to read so and so's an idiot and the sky is falling every 2nd post.
