S. Kostitsyn CHL player of the week
(Preview)
Sergei Kostitsyn, The Montreal Canadiens draft pick in 2005 was named CHL player of the week. He is second in scoring in the CHL playoffs with 25 points. Perhaps another good prospect for the Habs. For those of you who keep track his brother Andrei is also drafted by the Habs!

Kovy, Huet, Pleks, Bonk & Sunny step-it-up BIGTIME!
(Preview)
AB Habman was bang-on calling Kovy & Huet as being the key Habs for these playoffs!!! Any and all success of this team rides primarily on their shoulders!!!
Also...Pleks was the Habs best centreman by a country mile tonight!!!
...however, how 'bout the contributions of the PK...

No Coverage here!
(Preview)
It may be that the playoffs are a nightmare for CBC.
They are a bigger nightmare for me!!No coverage of the Habs at all- one hockey programme nearly always featuring New York or New Jersey- coupled with the fact we are 5 hours ahead!
Also I haven't met anyone else who even knows ice hockey exists- soc...

'Canes & First Goal
(Preview)
Carolina was 36-3 in the regular season when they scored the first goal of a game.
When I heard the announcers say that (at the 50-second mark), my heart just sank. Then at 1-1 I felt better.
But the Habs sure beat the odds, eh?

Keys to Series
(Preview)
In my thoughts, the key to this series in Carolina will be as follows:
Keep the Koivu line away from the Brindamour line. Brindamour has had tremendous success against Koivu over the years and matches up very well with him. If I am BG I want Koivu matching up against the unproven Eric Stahl as much as...

Note to self: get a new board during the offseason
(Preview)
I admit I am as frustrated as you with the service and outage of this board.
I apologize although it's sorta out of my control.
But during the offseason i will find a better solution and perhaps go with someone else.

Great Kovalev quote
(Preview)
From tsn.ca
Whatever you do, don't mention the word "underdog" to Montreal Canadiens winger Alex Kovalev. "God, I hate that word," Kovalev said Friday just before boarding a flight for Raleigh, N.C. "I don't feel we're a worse team than they are. If we play better than they do, then they becom...
