For some resaon I "get" Forum Fan and his cryptic Mayberry message. It's clear to me what he's saying (I tried to reply to his post but couldn't for some reason). Mayberry is in North Carolina close to Raleigh scene of tonight's opening tilt. Hooterville is the home of the Petticoat Juction girls - casting of the eldest daughter was originally going to be Manson victim Sharon Tate. Sharon Tate once dated TV moron Max Baer Jr. Sam Drucker was a father figure to the Junction gals - Max Baer Jr.'s father was boxing great - Max Baer. Max Baer was the "villain" defeated by James Braddock in the movie Cinderella Man. Tomatoes are red like our Cinderella Habs. Baer = Bear = Bruins. Our Habs have been the Cinderella team beating the Bruins many, many play-off years. This year all play-off hopefuls are "Bruins" to our Cinderella Habs. In his hockey scripture - The Book of FF - scolars such as myself who have studied his writings understand that Forum Fan is predicting the Stanley Cup for our "Cinderella" Habs. What could be clearer?

That was exactly my line of reasoning too! So obvious!
Actually, Hooterville is the home of Green Acres. I'm too young to remember Petticoat Junction; were they in Hooterville too?

P.S. Nilster - if you were watching Green Acres - you are old enough to remeber Petticoat Junction, you just had better taste - Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres and Petticoat Junction were all cross-ver shows. The "Sam Drucker" character was a regular in both of the latter two. The Mom on Petticoat Junction also played Jethro's mom on BH.
I tuned in to PJ for the same reason I watched I Dream of Jeannie - pretty girls. On PJ they were sisters Billie Jo, Bobbie Jo and Betty Jo.
In case anyone asks - Bobbie Jo - like our Habs was #1 in my heart.
