Johab re. Hab Board Family
(Preview)
Was just cruising through some of the posts. Seems like I'm everyone's Mom and am now a mother-in-law as well. My co-workers even call me Mom....hmmmm! Thank you Johab. Don't think that Habgirl is old enough to be the grandma though?
Had to stay home today with a cold, but...

The last time a Canadiens rookie goalie recorded a shutout in NHL debut
(Preview)
Wayne Thomas, back in 1973, was the last Canadiens rookie goalie to score a shutout in his NHL debut. A 3-0 win over the Vancouver Canucks back on Jan 14, 1973.
I picked this up from Montreal's Team990's Habs' post-game show http://www.team990.com

Things that are just inexplicable...and a disgrace!
(Preview)
Steve Begin does not have an 'A' or a 'C' on his jersey!
The Canadiens "powerplay" (note the lowercase letters)!
Marcel Hossa is traded away...while Pierre Dagenais remains on the second line!
Radek Bonk exclusively utilized in a defensive capacity!

No disrespect intended just needed a topic that would draw people in :)

I used to listen to Danny Gallivan all the time on the radio. As a young kid I (by mistake) tuned into the french station. I love listening in french because I have learned what they are saying. Hey you should hear my rendition of Oh Canada in french you would be impressed.

Waivers?
(Preview)
Right now if we have to bring a player up from the AHL that player has to clear waivers. What happens if that team calls up a player from the AHL to fill in an injury does that player still have to clear waivers?
This rule is really stupid if you asked me.

Great game for Danis!
(Preview)
Great game - the team played well for him. I hope he creates some pressure for Theo -its always good to keep him on his toes.
I love the Begin-Plekenac-Higgins line. They have tonnes of energy and fun to watch. I like our team right now. I think we are like Ottawa in a few years back.&...

4-1 in first 5
(Preview)
Well who would have thought we would be 4-1 after 5 games only losing to one of the best in the league if not THE best.
The funny thing is other than today's game the Habs have not played well. They've played very loose, not the kinda hockey you'd expect to win games with but we have.
So even thoug...

Danis - nice effort
(Preview)
I liked what I saw tonight, he played the angles well, didn't find himself out of position and didn't try to to come out of the net and make plays. Steady goaltending, the kind you'd expect from our $5+ million dollar man.
Theo will be back in the net on Saturday and will have his chance to show that the fi...

Do the Habs not like Power Plays?
(Preview)
I have never seen a team cancel out so many of tehir own PP's as the Habs have this season... and most while they were in the offensive zone. This has got to stop, as they are a team that should be excellent with the man advantage.
