Brett Hull- A Class Act.
(Preview)
I was very shocked to hear that Brett Hull is hanging them up. Some of you may look at the title of this post and question Hull being a "class act". I have always felt he was. Even when he chose to play for the USA over Canada (supposedly because Team Canada had not chosen him before) . What I liked about this g...

Let the bashing begin
(Preview)
As a massive Habs fan it is very hard to take losing when you have a goalie that thinks he is worth all the money in the world and then doesn't perform. On a night where we retired 3 jerseys the Habs should have been all over the Leafs. You never want to lose these types of games at home. Ma...

(Preview)
I didn't have a good feeling about tonights home game as I had picked Habs to lose. I thought they would be too fancy at home and they were to some degree on the PP ( SHOOT THE DARN PUCK ALREADY ).
The biggest difference in this one was Theo was out played!
I still think we're lucky to...

Let's take this game...
(Preview)
as a learning experience. Theo knows he has to pick it up so we have to count on him to get better. The kids are still playing well and Komi had a great game. I think our main concern is goaltending, some of our defencive zone coverage and that 2nd line. We have a few days to work out the kinks and try to w...

After one period
(Preview)
Good first period. Komisarek laying the body was nice to see. Two PP goals, one for each team, so it's important to limit the number of penalties.
I think poor Ryder is really struggling with the slow skating of Dags and Ribs, they can't even get into TO's zone.
Theo doesn't look confident out there...

we get we deserve
(Preview)
We seem to work so very hard to get each goal. The we always let up the damn easy goals. Theo shows me nothing. He is not worth the money. If he was a money goalie we would have won this one. It is not getting any easier with this home stand. Lindros and Domi had the last laugh.

introductions
(Preview)
Hi guys
I'm a born and raised Montrealer living in exile in Laffland. I follow the Habs faithfully and have been a silent reader of this board for years. Thought that now would be a good time to join in. Lovin' the team this year. And bash Koivu all you want, I still think he is the heart and soul of the team...

Did I miss something???...cuz that should have just been 2 minutes for boarding!
It is truly frightening to see just how much "Leaf Nation" impacts league action!!!

No excuses...time for a solid 60 minute effort!
(Preview)
Tonight would be a perfect time for CJ to read the riot act to the guys before the game!
I think that each game the Habs have played so far could have gone either way well into the third period...and the Habs have yet to dominate anyone for 60 minutes!
Time for a complete effort from the PP...PK...5-on...

Sid the Kid again

Two points again last night, in another one-goal loss for the Pens.
I would pay $1,000 out of my own pocket to have him in a Habs uniform!

Leafs Whining..again
(Preview)
Anyone see the highlights of the game on TSN? Toronto routs Atlanta 9-1. Lindros gets hit by an elbow and Tie Dummi jumps in and starts a brawl. Later Tucker gets slammed face first into the glass and cut up for 20 stitches. I am not here to debate whether the hit on Lindros or Tucker were cheap shots..to be...

Ivanans orbital fracture

Yikes, Pat Hickey of The Gazette reported today that Ivanans has a broken orbital from the Chara fight. Not good -- for I., or us. Anyone know anything else? The official Habs website doesn't have the injury reported.

Nice long article from another site about The Habs
(Preview)
Instead of doing a season preview this year, I've decided to wait a few games to see how things are going, and then project how this club is going to fare over the course of an 80 game season. I'd also like to take a look at each player and talk about how I see them developing and where how they might look by the...

Just a couple notes on how bad the Laffs are. Chercostly cannot crack the lineup. As well, remember some guys on here were asking about Bates Bataglia? He is now toiling for the farm in Toronto. Dryden - not enough mention?
(Preview)
It seems that whenever Hab greats are mentioned, Ken Dryden is left toward the back of the pack.
Is it because he took a year off? That he hung up the skates while on top? Not from Montreal? Worked for the Leafs?
Beats me, because he provided me with a ton of excitement as a kid, and I think he should...
