After one period

Good first period. Komisarek laying the body was nice to see. Two PP goals, one for each team, so it's important to limit the number of penalties.

I think poor Ryder is really struggling with the slow skating of Dags and Ribs, they can't even get into TO's zone.

Theo doesn't look confident out there. He was floundering on the first goal. With Belfour giving away the first goal we are even.

Belfour making saves, Theo not so much. The Habs have played a better overall period and a half but are down 2-1.

Not much to add after 2. So far our fourth line has been the most consistent and Komi has been our best defenceman.

I think our forwards are being forced to shoot from the outside. You cann score from outside on belfour. You need to top shelf from in close. Just like Hazek. The big Leafs defense is too much. I would also like to see Souray get back to form of 2 years ago. God he had a hard shot. He just does not seem to be with it. If we do not win tonight, we will not do well against the Bruins Tuesday. We nneed the first home win to build some confidence after all 3 more games at home this week

I agree, the Habs look real tight out there tonight.

Let's hope a big third period pulls out a win for us and get's that first home win monkey off the Habs backs.

Not a good sign if we can't win at home, especially against the Leafs who had a rough game last night, not score wise but physically.

We really need Zed back to give us a second line scoring threat.

Great goal . . . and now the Habs go on the PP!

Make it count, 'cause I have a feeling the Leafs will be getting thier own PP later on in the period.

Theo really having problem with rebound control. This will cost us the game.

Why don't the Canadiens shoot the puck on the PP??? Too many fancy passes, not enough shots on net.

Markov making some nice plays out there but Theo has already given away this game boys and girls. I really thought this is the game he would pick it up, I'm just not sure he is able to play without the bigger equipment. He looks BAD out there, I worry about every shot they get against him.

Belfour on the other hand is saving the Leafs.

I'd have to agree, Theodore's lost it . . . but we have no option but to play him, unfortunately.

Brutal loss! The Habs outplayed the Leafs and they hand us our 2nd defeat.

Leafs had 21 shots on net and get 3 goals. Habs have 31 shots on net and get 2 goals. Tell me we have a $5+ million dollar goalie. BRUTAL!!!!! This game was truly frustrating.

Yup, this was a real tough loss, to a division opponent no less.  The Habs as a team deserved a better fate.  They had better get that first win at home next game or it'll get unbearable soon.

Theodore played ok except for the damn rebounds, plus he looked really tentative and went down too early on alot of the shot's . . . definitely a sign of lack of confidence.  Giving up rebounds like that just gives the other team an extra chance and usually at a better scoring position than the original shot.  I'd like to see the Rookie start in goal against Boston, but we all know that ain't gunna happen.

Nothing worse than losing to the Leafs in Montreal after we outplay 'em and outshoot 'em 31-21.
