Which was more distractive to you?
(Preview)
The Olympics or the All Star Game?
I would have to say, thanks to the Olympics that I didn't have to suffer throught the complete waste of time of another seasonal All Star game! Actually think they should just can that figure skating contest they call an All Star game!

Fact is Saks....
(Preview)
Fact is Saks had a solid Olympics. He had 11 points in 7 games. That's of course way more than his average NHL stats. 1.57 points per game is double that of the NHL. It would be unfair to expect him to continue this pace playing with Ryder and Higgins but hopefully he still has some solid play in his ga...

Kovalev's Comments
(Preview)
Anyone catch Kovalev's comments on TSN after Russia lost the Bronze medal game?
"We had too many players playing like individuals. Trying to take the puck all the way down the ice and stickhandle through 4 players instead of passing it"
Thank you Alex for being the poster child for the new POT call...

Easy Trivia!
(Preview)
Which player ended his NHL career in 78-79? During his career his dad was shot. After his career he move to Florida and was charged with murder. He was found not quilty but then later was shot and killed himself during a mugging.
I find his career interestingly troubled and tragic. That...

Ribeiro (Let's hope this is just not true)
(Preview)
I'm recalling some of the Ribeiro incidents all of a sudden.
1) Practically a rookie - he and Saku get into a fight. Who knows whose fault it is, but the media sides with Ribeiro and Saku is booed. Gainey makes no statement about the event except to blow it off, which probably undermines the captain'...

Ok back to the Blue Line
(Preview)
Ok all you olympic participants. All I heard before the break was that you had loads on your mind and that distracted you from playing well. Now, you have a big new contract, the olympics are over so now its time to stand up for the team and the fans that pay your salary. No more excuses so get too work...

trade for selanne

After seeing the way Saku and Teemu are playing in the Olympics, BG should trade for Teemu. What do you think it will cost for getting Selanne in a Habs uniform?

Saku Koivu

Saku is a natural leader and is all heart. He does show up for every game. The difference between Team Finland and the Habs is his surrounding cast.
The Finns were definitely not the most talented team in the Olympics but they all played their hearts out. Just once I...

Olympics Final: Finland - Sweden
(Preview)
Who would have expected this final? Well, not many I think? I myself thought of a final Canada vs. Czech. The Finns most deserved to go to the Finals, and now it's gonna be a tough Northern Europe matchup. I hope and bet the Finns are going to get the GOLD. Go Finns Go, go Saku go, go Olli go, go Ville go, go Pet...

Sweden vs Finland

I guess congratulations are in order to Sweden for winning the gold but I feel their medal is somewhat tainted. Apparently they purposely lost their last game of the round-robin so that they would play Switzerland(a weaker team) in the quarter final and have a much better chance of adva...

I HATE TO GO ON
(Preview)
But Koivu's performance in this olymppics is pure proof he is a number one center. I mean who can argue that now? huh? Goal and assist against Russia.
It shows you what most of us have been saying all along...with proper back-up singers...he is a a number one center.
Oh, right...he is TRYING harder...

Nice of you to show up Alex!
(Preview)
Well I tried watching that game today and, more importantly, Kovalev, unbiasedly today. I have been watching Alex closely the last 2 weeks he played with the habs before the break because, to be frank, he has been starting to really piss me off with his one game on, 10 games off attitude. My conclusion?...

Olympics Bronze Medal Game: Russia vs. Czech Republic
(Preview)
In approx. 1/2 hour the bronze medal game is on. Usually Russia vs. Czech is a big clash, so it might be an interesting game to watch, even though Bronze is not what these guys were looking for. It's still fun to watch the likes of Ovechkin, Kovalev, Datsyuk, Jagr, Prospal etc.
My prediction: Russia is...
