Things to like so far.
(Preview)
Alot of stuff to like with this team so far:
Skating- when they want to they can skate with just about any team in the league. That will be a plus for sure in the "new NHL". It is just a matter of making sure they do it on a consistent basis.
System- nice to see the old BG trap gone and back to a more aggress...

Sabres have got the look
Team's new jerseys offer glimpse of what will be 'in' next season
11:20 PM CDT on Saturday, October 14, 2006
Like the new Sabres uniforms? Me, neither.
But if Reebok – or RBK, as it's known in hockey – gets its way, NHL fans will se...

RIBEIRO BASHERS CAN EAT CROW
(

(Preview)
It's not surprising that Mike Ribeiro is off to a good start. He has always had talent, unrecognized by most of the members of this board. I had predicted that he would have a good year and it pains me because he should have never been traded.
He is one of a few Quebecers that we have on the team and he shoul...

How Long Should Guy Wait?
The Kovy-Pleks-Sammy line had an entire pre-season and 4 regular season games to “gel”, as they say. Well, have they?
We have a fourth liner wearing the number 84 just licking his lips to prove himself.
Kind of hard to show any offensive skill when you play with...

The Sens are not half the team they were last season but their avoidance of lazy-arse penalties enabled them to hang-in all night!
Meanwhile the Habs basically looked tentative and half-hearted most of the night (which is truly worrying when you consider the setting)!

Is Souray expandable??
(Preview)
i love his personality, i love his grit and he does have a great shot on the powerplay. But i feel like Komisarek has really stepped up his game from as year ago and really kind of taking the same role as souray just not the same shot. I also feel like souray is caught standing sometimes and really weak at the...

some good things so far
(Preview)
Six of a possible 8 points, thus far, and yet a fair amount of negativity with regard to the habs on this board. The concerns from the impotence of the second line, to the lack of mobility on defence, i.e. Souray, the perceived misuse of Lats, Carbo's selection of shooters in the shoot out, all criticism...

Penalties???
(Preview)
So isn't Montreal considered a speedy team, so therefore shouldn't they be the one on the powerplay in most cases.....see, these small forwards, (almost the whole team) get roughed up in the corner or laid out cleanly, so does that frustrate them enough to retaliate and get a penalty. I though...

I know i'll hear about it alot but I've seen all the habs game so far this year, and there's something that keeps coming up that annoys me.... Souray. He has a good shot, can give good hits on occasion but man does he loose the puck alot to the other team. Just tonight against Ottawa, he did it 5 times at least...

A typical Samsonov goal
(Preview)
Sammy and kovy will score those kind of goals. They are the ultimate at the "keep away" type plays.
I wonder if these guys realize they have four other team-mates with them.
Have to admit though, when it works...it's a thing of beauty. More often than not though, it doesn't.

3 games played...and 4 points...and NO PENALTIES...and not even playing on a top line YET...not bad for a guy who can barely keep-up with the play!
