Homage to the Cube (and a question of ethnicity)
(Preview)
You all know how I love Francis Bouillon (not in the Biliblical sense*). The little Cube is an amazing little fireplug! He is our second-best hitter (after Komisarek, but not by much) and our best player pound-for pound. Yes, his mistake of shooting the puck over the boards nearl...

...Lights Will Guide You Home...
(Preview)
I'm not going to split hairs out here...
Nah, I'm just going to say that Hockey has returned to Montreal and our boys are commin' home to one hell of a loud Bell Center on Wednesday night.
-May the Canadiens Press On, and continue to ignite the Torch of glory for us all.
Canadiens Forever....

Perezhogin-Plekanec-Zednik
(Preview)
Right now this best habs line in terms of energy is this trio. Any time they need a lift in energy to slow the momentum this line needs to go out there...The hurricanes have no answer for it...most notably they have no way of knocking Zed and Perezhogin off the puck! Man what a trio they are all speed all puc...

5 D Played Great
(Preview)
What a game for Rivet, Bouillion, Dandeneault, Komisarek and Markov last night. After Souray went down, all the pairings were out of wack, but these 5 guys played awesome.
Bonk has really stepped up his game quite a bit, and the "physical" play of Perezhogin & Zednik has been real...

Anyone think we have the advantage behind the bench?
(Preview)
Just wondering, with BG, Carbo and Jarvis behind the bench with all the cups they have won, who has the advantage behind the bench at this time of year, Carolina or the Habs?
I guess we'll know more in about 3 hrs...

Leaf Fans Ain't All Bad
(Preview)
According to a Toronto Star poll 21% are now pulling for our Habs... while I welcome their support, honesty requires that I state - I WOULDN'T BE RETURNING THE FAVOUR!!
Politics for a moment - I'm pulling for Dion in the Liberal leadership race - I figure when you grow up as a quintuplet you learn about...

Hitting from behind
(Preview)
TSN had a blurb on hitting from behind and how scary it's getting.
Did you guys see the Gauthier hit on Vanek? If he doesn't tuck in his head, he is done...I mean wheelchair done!
I know some scores are getting out of hand but this chippy dirty stuff will give these playoffs a blac...

Kovy great.
(Preview)
How good is he right now, he really really stepped it up for the playoffs. I'm so happy for him since he was getting so much heat, like he was the only player on our roster. Right now our Conn Smythe winner. Saw that pass to Bulis that was Mario Lemieux vision right there and how 'bout that shot from a super ha...

Hey Mario
(Preview)
Did you notice when Canes tied it up after the cross pass and Huet didn't get across, Neale was trying to say Huet followed the puck but should of got over to that side. After Hughson disagreed with him and said, he didn't see the pass, Neale quickly changed the subject. That was when I chang...

The so called book
(Preview)
All week on Montreal, sports radio, Team990, the biggest story was "the book of Cristobal Huet". Sad to see Pierre McGuire flip flop on this. Two weeks ago he mentioned that there is no book on Martin Gerber, and on Friday he correctly mentioned that every goalie has a book. ...

too many penalties
(Preview)
Nice win tonight by our Habs but all those dumb penalties really put the canes back in the game. Instead of putting the nail in the coffin, the dumb penalties in the second by Zednick, Kovalev, bad call on Rivet, and Buillion's delay of game (maybe couldn't have been helped)...

During the season, I have been very critical of certain players. However, the playoffs are a whole new season. Can u imagine playing the Canes with 5 D men for 55 minutes. There may be negatives to take from this game and I am sure BG and Carbo will correct them for game 3. But the positives I saw &nbs...

Critic as much as you want but i'm sorry that Gainey gave him a 3 year no trade clause. The guy sucks right now. Put Bonk on his line he can't do any worse... Good job on the other hand for Ribeiro's line and Plecs line. -- Edited by mperra (Admin) at 00:06, 2006-04-25
