Well I think I have beaten the CJ firing near to death. In hindsite, there is no question that Gainey could have handled it better and Claude deserved better. However the fact is that he did not get the respect he deserved and that is life. We have all been there right Nilsey? There is no question a change o...

What do you think about these statements from Kovy? Habs forward Alex Kovalev said Gainey's style and insistence on moving the puck forward at all times was a welcome change from former coach Claude Julien. "I don't know what Claude was telling the defence, but it looked like they were confused o...

I know its only after one game but if Gainey and Carbs get Bonk to produce more to spread out our scoring - isn't that a better form of coaching? You have to adjust with every person on that team as well as motivate each member of the team differently. Not trying to stir the pot here on the eve of CJ ge...

Enough of this Ribs and Saks etc..talk. It won't change the fact that we're stuck with these players through this season at least! We will sail or sink with this roster despite their problems! I think it will help to have Gainey and Carb to get them all on one page! They will show the way an...

I need to commend Sheldon Souray for showing leadership and being a man. He is the ONLY guy on that team who came to the defence of his coach and he has gained my respect for that. In his interview on Saturday this is what Souray said: "If the coach tells you not to take long shifts and you keep on doing it, w...

Only to have the player become a great somewhere else? I see Ribs is always mentioned as a trade. Isnt he now getting hot?/ So if he is getting hot wouldnt we want to keep him??? Or on the other hand if hes doing well he may bring more. Just my thoughts -- Edited by davidb at 22:14, 2006-01-16

There's only one guy here who has the right to tell another poster to pack up and get out, so unless you're him, maybe it's not such a great idea to be telling others, no matter how dumb some of the posts have been recently, to get out... Just an idea for all the pots and kettles out there...

I know some of us felt that when you make a change the players get pumped for a game or two and win. The question I have is, what are we doing different on the PP that we got 7 in two days. More Shooting ?? Crashing the net??? -- Edited by davidb at 22:47, 2006-01-16

Bob McKenzie 1/14/2006 6:18:23 PM In the end, Claude Julien was done in by an old truth and a new reality. I know there have been many kind words here on the site about Claude Julien and the job he did for the Habs.
