Batting 1000
(Preview)
Well it took a while, but I made it. Just wanted to use this thread to send a shout-out to all the people here from the man in in the Korean mountains who is so thankful to have a place to read about his Habs while most of the rest of you are sleeping.
Thanks for the fun my friends and here's hoping we are all...

Concerns
(Preview)
I don't want to be pessimistic after a win, since I am absolutely ecstatic right now, but for all the things that are going right (and there are a lot of them) there are two things that concern me:
How can teams just have their way with us when they are down a goal or two? This is reminding me of last y...

Anyone interested???
(Preview)
I was thinking, it may be kinda cool to have something else to look forward to on Saturday nights. What if we did a little pool up just for Saturday nights only, just cause that is when the most games are played in a night of the week. Something small and simple, i'll take care of the stats and everything, it...

Who's the Habs' best Defenseman after Three Games?
(Preview)
Can anyone argue that it's not Mike Komisarek? (I know heet mentioned him in the game post.)
He's playing with confidence. Nothing flashy, but solid, consistent, and pretty much flawless. He carries the puck with authority, headmans it well, hits when needed, takes n...

Goaltenders
David Aebischer-B+ Was not happy originally with him coming to montreal in the Theo trade. I must admit though now that i look back it was more that i was fustrated is getting ANOTHER goaltender when we DIDNT NEED ONE. Theo was a waste of money and space on our team at the time, why bring in a...

Huet to start in home opener
(Preview)
Canadian Press
10/13/2006 5:38:52 PM
MONTREAL (CP) - Cristobal Huet will be back in goal for the Montreal Canadiens home opener on Saturday night.
From his play last season, when he led Montreal to a playoff spot with a spectacular second half, that shouldn't be a surprise.
But it is last yea...

Sens will be crashing Net
(Preview)
I'm ready to put money on Chris Neil crashing our net. He and his teamates are starving for a win at all costs, and he has a reputation of driving to the net with the puck and shooting as he gets there and carring his momentum into the goalie hoping to score that way. Lets hope the refs are ready to deal with th...

Up or contracts?
(Preview)
Correct me if I am wrong but we will be in trouble signing a few people come next year:
Bonk - I don't think we re-sign him
Ryder - I still don't get why we sign this guy to 1-year deals. Sign this guy to a 3 year deal!! He is our only player that shoots!!
Rivet - I say we keep him. He has missed...

Thoughts and opinions please…

This is the best roster by far that the Montreal Canadiens have had since the ’93 Cup team was dismantled…even without another change!
…and anything less than at least earning home-ice for the first-round of the playoffs would represent a total failure!

Kovalev doesn't fear flying

By BILL BEACON, CANADIAN PRESS
MONTREAL -- Alexei Kovalev has no intention of giving up piloting a small airplane, despite baseball pitcher Cory Lidle's fatal accident. The star winger for the Montreal Canadiens logs between 80 and 100 hours of flying time per year in his own small plane, a Cessna...
