I can honestly say that the 2nd period was the worst I have ever seen Brodeur play. He was the vitim of some pretty lucky bounces on the part of the Laffs, but to his credit he shut the door after that. If the Devils get the "normal" brodeur goaltending they will be tough as they can certainly fill the net. But things I did like was that the Devils seem to have alot of heart. They did not fold the tent and go home after being down by 3. Boy did did it seem funny seeing CJ behind the Devils bench...and for And-O..CJ Called a timeout last night !

when i saw the replays , brodeur sucked in the 2nd . i watched from the 3rd on and he also looked terrible on stajens goal in the shootout , he commited really early . good to see them drop a point , cant have them get to far ahead .

On the other side of the coin time outs can blow up in your face. There is no way Carbo should have called one with 30 seconds left in the Buffalo game last Friday. Habs were up by a goal and all it did was give Ruff time to rest his PK studs. We all know what happened after that. Carbo is smart and I am sure he chalked that one up to experience. He will be a good coach.

AGREED! However, And-o thinks that this had more to do with Carbo applying 'his playing standards' to 'his players'. In other words, Carbo knows that he could have killed off that PP...and he knew that he would have appreciated a rest...trouble is though, he has no 'Carbo' to kill penalties (who does???)!
