Not according to RDS. They mentioned that it went off Abby himself. Skate I guess.

Nice effort all around and Really good Goaltending!!! 2nd line looks like they might just have the right mix now and 3rd line still playing great with both Lats and Begin sharing time there in different situations. We must have outhit them big and our forecheck worked well!

Didnt see too many lapses out there, hope that effort shows up more often than not!Our PK is well on its way to being best in the league thanks to some hard working forewards(higgs begin bonk and pleks) and of course ABBY!Again kudos to Begin Lats and our D for laying out some big hits to take the steam out of a struggling Ottawa club.Thats the kind of energy that fuels confidence and more goals!!!!!

Koivu had a horrible night.....he looked fatigued and didnt show one bit of interest only until his last shift....hasnt scored in 10 games...If kovalev didnt score in 10 games...world war III wold commence

Methinks Koivu is hiding an injury.  On Monday he was given a day off practice and was instead treated "off-ice".

A sign when he's on his game, his faceoff pct.  Against Ottawa he was 5-for-13.  The team as a whole were a woeful  24/64.

Kovalev played very well at centre. He seemed to be everywhere and was helping out his D in his own end. And a goal to boot.

Too bad Lats hit the post with his almost perfect shot.

Montreal had more chances on their PK than OTT had on their PP. MTL is a special teams machine!

Higgins will lead the team in scoring it seems. Komisarek may go on to win the Norris some day!

Abby was great (that second goal seem to be a fluke from behind the net.)

Markov's empty netter was the game winner...ya don't see that often!

Plus...Saku Koivu is really hurting (likely lower body)!

I hereby recind about a quarter of my comments on Souray's defensive play in tribute to his effort without his stick in the first period.  But, not all of my comments .

Souray is learning how to play with what God gave him in the new NHL. I say it would be a shame to trade him. Ninnima on the other hand looked completely USELESS last night. Kudos to all the guys for a job well done!! Keep er up!

I agree, except how many times did he get thrown out of the faceoff circle? I hope that trend doesn't continue.

With 10 games in, why would one hide an injury and take a chance on making it worse. Wouldn't it be better to take the time off to heal, than to play hurt.

I guess my question is, what's the benefit of hiding an injury 10 games in? and who does it benefit, the team or the player?

I don't know, I just don't get it.

Anyone??
