This one is a little scary Spidy. Sens getting hot and Habs getting cold.

We already have 2 losses to Buffalo, one to the Leafs and one to the Sens. We NEED to beat these teams. I know I have said it before, but we need to beat eastern division teams if we are going to go anywhere      I say the Habs are coming out flying and we will win this one in regulation 4-2

You can rest assured that as we speak (Monday am) the habs are getting their collective asses skated into the cement in Verdun after their "performance"  Saturday night. I am quickly gaining respect for Carbo and his no-nonsense approach. I look for the habs to come out on fire against the Sens and win big..like 5-1. To be fair, the Sens have been hot and cold. Which Sens team will show up and which habs team will show up?

Not sure that Carbo is skating anyone into the ground as retaliation for Saturday night's debacle. In fact, he gave Koivu -- who was terrible Saturday night -- the entire day off "for treatment" ??

I'm worried that the Habs are going to get killed ... the new #2 line will coast for the game (after all, they contributed 3 goals last game), the new #4 will be lost, still adjusting to the new combinations, Koivu didn't practice today, so the #1 line questionable as to their timing etc, and Bonk and Johnson will also have a new linemate for tomorrow's game

So .... could be another loss, perhaps in regulation.

The one thing that the habs going for them tonite is last line change advantage. The Kovalev line worries me if the opposition is allowed to match up against them. Between those 3 players they do not have a defensive blood cell in their bodies.  Look for the Koivu line to go up against the Spezza line as much as Carbo can do that.

I do not think this will be a close game when the final buzzer goes.  Look for a 2-3 goal win for someone.  I hope it's for the Habs but I am little afraid of this game too.  I still think the Habs can take any team and tonight let's hope they start a nice streak.  I think that Kovalev and Sammy will be into it after their recent success.  I also think that this will directly impact the performance of Koivu's line since OTT cannot shut down 2 lines.  If Montreal loses this game it won't be because of the Sens.  5-2 Habs.  Production from all over, mostly from Line 1.

Sure hope And-o is wrong here...but, unless Abby stands on his head...this one WILL be ugly!

Trying to get too pretty! Markov could of shot a couple times but elected to try a pretty pass. Shoot hard from the point and cround the crease for a rebound or screen!

I agree, Kovy's line worked really well together thus far.

I hope they continue in the second and get us on the scoreboard

Anyone able to comment on the game so far? I can't watch it tonight.
Looks like the Habs are outshooting the Senators.

Ottawa was outplaying the Habs until Higgs scored the SH goal. After that the Boys are coming on strong. Not good on the PP but excellent on the PK. Kovy just scored!!!

One bad stat:
faceoffs. We are winning 25% of them tonight.

Koivu's at 14% after 2 periods.
Weird, since he's 10th in the league right now at 55%.
And Pleks is 20th at 53% but only 27% tonight.
Bonk isn't bad either, at 51%. In fact I think we're one of the best faceoff teams in the league right now, but not tonight.

BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS WE ARE WINNING 2-0 after 2. Keep it up boys!

Every hab played with intensity and heart tonight. Every hab...

Deserving of having the likes of Muller behind them.

No "getting out of the way of a hit". Just taking hits to make plays. Not that hard when your earning millions per year...

Evert game should be played like that IMO. No excuse for the TO effort.

Just a note on faceoffs, the boys sure turned it around in the third period!
Koivu ended up 38% after winning nearly all of his, and the other guys also improved slightly.

But that's just stats. Tell me about the game y'all!

Although it's moot now, how did that last goal go in against Abby? It seemed to come from nowhere.
