...and the Habs were buzzing, was And-o the only one begging Carbo to bump-up Bonk, Johnson and Perezhogin to the 2nd line. Cripes, even following that with Murray, Begin and Lats gives us some good energy and jump! But 'Rewarding' Alex Kovalev with that primo ice was just disgusting! Lazy penalties! Lazy effort. Samsonov is invisible as well. Why blame Pleks? Teams should just focus on the Koivu line in order to beat the Habs!

Agree with your sentiments, And-o. Problem is the likes of Perez and Plek's is they have no finish around the net. Both work hard but do not have a goal scorers ability. Plek's is out of his depth being a second line center at this point in time, in the last two games he has had a number of quality chances but no finish. Kovalev's two (and he could have had a third penalty) late game penalties was inexcusable. The other major problem when playing a team like Buffalo, lack of mobiltiy on the Habs defence. Virtually every Sabre defenceman can move the puck and jump into the rush, outside of Markov, the Habs can't respond to the Sabres team speed.
And-O- I will agree with you regarding Kovalev. 2 (should have been 3) of the laziest penalties I have ever seen at a key point in the game. But hey, he scored the last game so it's all good.
