I hate to be negitive for the way the season started for us, but if i had to pick a game where we lost our first regulation one, it would be tonight, the boys played a hard fought battle with Calgary last night, and now there travelling to Chicago for tonights game...i look to have them tired and sloppy, but not a blowout due to Abby starting.
I wonder how many times Kovalev will use that same move (pretend to go to the left of a player, then swich over to the right at the last split-second) before the defenders clue in? He did that tonight in a play that was a carbon copy of his goal last night (except for the goal part, sadly).

well with kovy you never know when he will do that though cuz he has a lot more moves than that and defenders know that so as far as cluing in im sure they have but im sure they also know he can do about a dozen more things in that situation too on a side note after slicing off half my fingernail and some of the finger under the nail im off for 10 days meaning i get to watch at least a few games just i can't tonight cuz i no longer have rds had to cut down on cable cost after the move. and trying to listen to the game on the computer isn't workin either...
Sounds like the guys were kind of flat, which doesn't surprise me after the Calgary game. That and a hot goalie is killer. I am not worried though, as the score was close and our PK is still strong.
what a slow ,boring game , you'd think the nhl could come up with a better schedule than 2 games in 2 nights in different time zones . we were tired and still outplayed them .

Hey red, I didn't think it was slow or boring - our guys played well! Who told Bonkers he could play hockey, by the way??
Chi-town had a hot goalie in 'Bulin, our PK was awesome and I never thought I would say it, but Abby was on it. I loved how our d seemed to have so much confidence in him that they let him see the shot rather than collapse on goal. This time last year, that would not have been the case.
WHAT IS UP WITH THE EMPTY SEATS IN CHICAGO FOR GOD'S SAKES? Not only did it look desolate and empty but there seemed to be no enthusiasm from anyone other than those wearing Habs jerseys. No music, lights, strobes, fan cheerleading, nothing! I love the game for the game, but it's kind of weird that a supposed hockey town like Chi-town can't fill an arena.
GM Place rocks it, and so does the phone booth. (ok, so can Air Canada Centre, but this is the last time I will EVER admit to being there). Saddledome is a fun place to watch a game, Corel Centre is a bit quiet but can get moving if TO or Montreal is in town.
I guess my rant is that the original six should be selling out, hands down.
Sorry if I hijicacked the thread Red, but let's give some thought to this one!
habgirl , that game was slower than any game we played this year , we were skating in slush . we played ok for a 2in2 but were no where near as fast as against calgary

Exactly what I was going to say. Two of my favorite uniforms in the entire league, Chicago and Montreal.
