3 ex Hab coaches are coaching in the nhl this year
Vignault - Vancouver
Therrian - Pittsburgh
Julien - NJ
I hope this is not a trend. We need to be patient more with the talent we have and not the media dictate who we should have coaching or playing on team. I know that won't happen but wishful thinking.
As CJ said, the attitude in the league with other GM's is that if a guy can coach in Montreal, he can coach anywhere. I think that is true to an extent. It takes a special guy to put up with the garbage that the Montreal media throws at him on a regular basis. Claude told me that the one thing he enjoys teh most about Jersey is the fact that he and his wife can go out for supper and actually enjoy it without being hounded by people. No one knows (nor cares lol) who he is in Jersey. In Montreal he could not even go for dinner without people bugging him. Sometimes it would be a drunk guy hollering at him telling him he was a bum and could not coach a Pee Wee team.
But I will say one thing. CJ handled himself well. Instead of fighting the media, he welcomed them and actually enjoyed the challenge of dealing with them. The good thing about Carbo is that he has played there. He is not in for any surpises.

...or someone BEGGING for a strategically called time-out (tell him that they are STILL free - even in New Jersey)!
...and would it have killed the Cabbage-Patch Coach to blow a gasket behind the bench for And-o just once?????????? Just prove to us that you care Claude!!!
You forgot about Jacques Lemaire....and his asst Super Mario Tremblay....
Yah the Habs really don't give their coaches much of a chance...But it does say something about the organisation when you look around the league and you see so many people who have strong connections to the Habs.
