Picking up Traverse was STUPID!


Why not wait for the waiver draft?  Nashville claimed Boullion from us (then we claimed him back), Atlanta took Robidas (then traded him to Dallas) and we stole Begin from Buffalo...so why not wait, do some homework and try to pick up quality, instead of quantity?


I think BG pushed the panic button.


Too bad these injuries didn't happen when we had Beauchemin in the system.

I think the idea behind not waiting for the waiver draft is that if we pick anyone up we will be forced to leave someone good available for other teams (like Perez, Begin, Murray, Bonk...)


Does anyone know how many players you can protect before you take someone else's players under the new CBA? Also, does anyone know how many of our players we need to protect?
