Koivu states that Latendresse is evidently to strong for Junior. Is Latendresse ready? Koivu feels he has the apptitude for the NHL. He is much improved over last year.
Let's hope they make a trade, because none of the players in question is minor league at this point (Kostitsyn, Murray, Perezhogin, Downey)...well, maybe Downey.
I REALLY don't want to see Garth Murray sent down. We need more guys like that, not less.

Downey is the one to go. No question. Put him on waivers. He's a nice guy and a scrapper, but clearly surplus goods at this time.

I don't know if I agree with these statments being made. It puts pressure on Gainey to keep him and if he doesn't it will only bruise Latendresse's ego more than last time. I like Lats and I hope he makes it but IF he does I want him to be because hes the best option not because the media is putting presure on Gainey.
BTW: I said media because i dont think Saku made these remarks out of nowhere i dont think he really had a chose to say them. When a reporter asks him if Latendresse is ready and he says no they boil him in the media because he's not a "true" leader. If he says he is then we have a situation just like we do now.
