Personally, I would love to see Latendresse crack the line-up because I don't want to eat my shorts. But the kid is 19 years old and we're not a contender this season anyway. Maybe it makes the most sense to management to send him back to junior now and see how the season plays out. Perez still needs a chance and Kostitsyn is a high draft choice that has good skills also and has been maturing playing with men the last couple seasons. He may be more ready than Latendresse in that way.

 Lets see how the season pans out. If Gainey can tinker with his line-up and things fall into place and it looks like we make the playoffs with some depth and momentum than maybe call Latendresse up at season's end. He may be the game breaker we need with his size and grittiness in the playoffs. Was it Claude Lemieux that solidified himself on the team before playoffs of 86' and was a force scoring big goals? I remember the huge goal against Hartford game 7 in OT especially. Latendresse can be that late season boost and sparkplug that could help put the damage to other teams.
