I have been watching the game tonight and I think there will be a tough decision to be made about Lantendresse. This guy did some good hits tonight. He looks like he could take a job from Perez. Other notables:
Ferland looks like he could be our next Begin
I think Danis can be a decent backup - lets trade Abby
Ribs and Kovy were playing the penalty kill - how weird is that. Kovy shows no effort what so ever.
Downey is useless. The fool took a penalty in the first 15 seconds of the game, and the habs were down a goal before 60 seconds had ticked off the clock. Downey does not deserve a place on any NHL team.
I think Ferland was in the lead for the 4th-line RW spot before camp and it sounds like he has done nothing to lose it. And although I like Perez and think he will one day be the 1st-liner scouts predicted for him, I believe Latendresse fits our need better and has more desire for that 3rd-line spot. Question is, do we deal Perez or demote him?

Why not switch Perez's wing and put Downey up high in the press box?
I'm thinking that Downey won't be a regular. I could be wrong but I think he will be a press box spectator unless we need a little more muscle than Murray can provide. I also think we are going to see Latendresse playing with the big team this year as Perezhogin hasn't impressed anyone with his play thus far. The pre-season is notoriously unpredictable though and I guess we will all know more on October 6th. Personally, I can't wait. It has been a long summer......
