I am no accountant (maybe Nil can back me up) but I have always equated a man's maturity age by adding the 2 digits of his functional age. So For Ripple, he is 31, so 3+1 = 4. So Ripple, you are 4 going on 5. This also explains men's mid-life crisis as it usually happens around 50. At 49 (13) a man finally hits the teenage year in maturity and then WHAMO! They are dropped to 5. They just can't handle it, eh Nil?

Yes, I used to have too much free-time...

It was my daughters first day of school yesterday too.

Not the first day perse, (she's almost 11 & in gr.6) but she started at a new school for gifted children.. (she beat out 250ish local smarty pants her age & made it into a full time smarty pants school )

She was soooo nervous.... really sick to her stomach. I tried to tell her that everyone in her class was new to the school too.... but it didn't seem to help.

Once she got home.... she told me how silly she felt. She ended up knowin' 1/2 of the kids in her class from last year's 1/2 day advanced studies classes @ the local highschool.

Interesting theory.  At least in 9 years I'll be 14 again.
