When it comes to Ribs, you still need a replacement as second line center.  Plekanec has not proven to be that man yet.  Hopefully this year, if not Grabovsky.  You need secondary scoring and Ribs is the best we got at this time for that role.

As for Bonk, Mtl never got him for scoring anyways.  THey wanted a big presence in a defensive role.  Not that he's physical or anything, although there was an improvement in that department when he played with Begin and one of either Murray or Downey.  His main utility for Mtl was for his defensive responsibility.  He formed an effective PK duo with Begin last year.
