Without adding another serviceable d-man…

…expect to see at least one raw rookie on the blue-line each night for the first month of the regular season (as a best case scenario)!  YIKES!!!

That just doesn’t sit well with And-o!

Surely…surely Gainey will move to address this gap.

P.S.  Keep in mind folks…there is no more waiver draft to plug a hole with the odd veteran fill-in.

what do you mean by raw rookie , as far as i know striet will be ready for the season so hes not a norris candidate but not a rookie either , and from what i saw of cote , he didnt do bad last year in the few games he played , if toronto can get away with 2 rookies in their lineup for a whole year , and other teams can break their rooks in i think we can also . im not that worried about it unless we develop another injury in camp or earliy on .

Somehow I can't see Carbo shuffling his D every night.  I think that they might go with Cote for a while just to see what he brings to the table.  He looked ok for the 3 games he played last year.

Don't tell me that Streit is going to play.  I would rather see Dagenais than him.....then again....it's been a long long day.

Streit is going to break out this year.  He will become our most mobile D-man.  I know Dandy can skate, but he isn't all that great with the puck.  Streit can do both.  He just lacks confidence.  He has captained the Swiss team for years now, he can't be that bad.  He just needs some time to adjust to the North American game.

ripp. with regard to striet being captain of the swiss team , im going to paraphrase a quote from a movie , and i hope i dont offend anyone or their family , but being captain of the swiss team is like being the smartest kid with down syndrom .

...and yet, And-o gets 'the gears' for whipping on Sak-who!?!?!?

That is just sick Mac...however, true!  VERY true Mac!!!

P.S.  If the 'politically correct' police don't get you...the 'grammar' police should though!

Back to And-o's point.....the Habs defense is thin any way you look at it!
