Nil d Meets.........................
Permalink Closed

So I was hanging around Spring Garden Road in Halifax with an hour to kill this sunny afternoon, so I went to the local library to check out a few books and CDs.  As I was checking out, this familiar-looking couple were in the lineup in front of me, looking like someone I had seen in a couple of pictures on this board.  I hesitated at first, and the man went outside while the lady stayed in the lineup, so I thought I'd ask her, and sure enough................the nice young lady was Tanya, and he was the one and only Barry33!  She went outside to grab him to make sure we met.

Small world, eh?  Funnily, I was wearing my "New York Islanders 2005 Training Camp - Yarmouth, Nova Scotia" t-shirt, so they caught me wearing about the only t-shirt that is not Hab-logoed.

Unfortunately, I had to go shortly, so we only had the chance to chat for about 10 minutes, but the big guy will soon be moving to Halifax, so I'm sure we'll meet again.

Oh by the way, I bumped into two-time curling World Champion Colleen Jones about ten minutes later, but that was a lesser deal.

You should start carrying a camera everywhere you go Nil d

We could start a "Nil d Meets....." album as an extension of our GoHabs Family album

Halifax (pop. 360,000) is small-town and rural?

I would admit that the "Six Degrees of Separation" rule in Atlantic Canada gets shrunk down to two degrees.

But Nil d doesn't much like stereotyping, which Ontarians are fond of doing (joke!!!).

That was why I said "joke".  It's like saying "all generalizations are dangerous".

I was messing around. If it was true, I would have changed it to "Torontonians"

LOL... I figured you would go on longer with the Ontarioian stereotype..... that way I could say.... "You hockey guys are all alike".... lol

(I do not feel that way, but I thought it'd be funny )

God, if I had known it was going to create such an exchange, I never would have introduced myself to Mr. & Mrs. Barry!

That's the problem Nil, everyone from the east coast is just too nice.
