Anyone think bondra would be a good fit for the habs. I know he's getting older now, but experience doesn't hurt with a young club like the habs. He certainly knows how to put the puck in the net, he's proven that. I think even for a year or two, would be kinda nice. Just thought i'd throw that out there. Ohhh yeah, i forgot to tell you guys/gals this, even tho i'm a die hard habs fan, always was, and will be, Peter Bondra is one of my favorite players over the years, i even made my own jersey with his name on the back for road hockey......give me your opinions on this.
Not what we need, I don't think. But maybe as a late-season pickup. We need a centre.
But I agree, Bondra sure was great. I almost think he was underrated. He could take over a game, and he was pretty solid in the playoffs too. Definitely a key part of a Capitals team that had its moments. Can't argue with nearly 500 goals in the dead puck era.
I was wondering when someone would bring that up. I kept quiet because I thought maybe I had dreamed it, but didn't he actually retire last year?
Not to my knowledge. He played right to the end of the season. He missed 20+ games in Dec-Jan though. Were you maybe thinking of Palffy?

You know what, it was Palffy I was thinking of. I always considered those two to be similar players (perhaps I'm wrong there), and had them mixed up in my mind.
Thanks for clearing that up.
