Do you guys both really see both Murray and Downey playing every night? Isn't that a bit of overkill? I'd use Murray, who in my opinion is a scrapper without being too much of an offensive or defensive liability, and keep Downey in the stands as a backup.

You guys forgot Perez! He will probably be on the Pleks wing which means Murray to the 4th line and one space for a rookie... probably one who won't develop past a 4th-liner - like a Ferland.
Somehow these combos don't convince me that we'll make it passed the first round in 07. I hope I'm completely wrong but I still feel we're missing another impact-offensive forward. Maybe we won't be satisfied no matter who we get.
To be honest, I was hoping Gainey would of made a made a multi player deal where it would make space for some hungry rookies. Look how important Pleks and Higs became in only their first year...
This what i'd like to see, something similar anyways Samsonov-Koivu-Kovalev Higgins-Riberio-Ryder Murray-Begin-Johnson Perezhogin-Plekanec-Bonk (spares)---Kostitsyn/Downey Souray/Dandenault Bouilion/Markov Komiserek/Rivet (spares)----Cote Huet Aebischer (spares)----Denis
I like yours, have Mario deliver them to Carbo LOL
11 Rings, one too many guys on your roster. Max roster size is 23. That equates to two forward and one defence spares.
Also you would put Lats on the fourth line where he won't get a lot of minutes?? I think he needs to crack the top 3 lines to make this team at his age. If not its back to junior to play a lot of minutes.
