Say what you want..but who do you want centering Samsonov and Kovalev? Peca at 2.5 mill or Ribs at 1.9? But then again chances are that Peca would not play in Montreal because it was his dream to play in Toronto.

peca has all the offensive flare of steve begin , as much as i dislike ribs i would take him to center an offensive line . not that i wouldndt take peca but i wouldnt put him there . when he was scoring point it was because of hardwork not talent . now he just has hardwork , not a bad thing but not on a scoring line

Actually Mac, I would prefer Peca because he is more defensively responsible on a line that will be offense oriented. But you made a good point regarding Ribs. With his new linemates he may turn into teh next Marc Savard..here's hoping !

Peca's a great playoff guy, will the Leafs make the playoffs? That's the big question...

It ought to be interesting when Peca & Tucker meet for the first time as teammates as Tucker went low on Peca in the playoffs a few years ago and put Peca out of the playoffs with a knee injury......

From what I have heard, there are no two nastier guys in the legue to play against than Tucker and Peca..now they are on the same team...yikes

I am going on a laughter limb here to predict that they indeed will make the playoffs...teh question is, who will they beat out to do so?

My guess is leafs dont make playoffs again this year. ..1- Ottawa, 2-Buffalo, 3-Rangers, 4- Carolina 5- New Jersey, 6- Montreal, 7- Tampa Bay, 8- Atlanta,

I like those standings and they are probably realistic. I do think that from 6-8 or 9 will be very tight again this year. I am giving Toronto the nod over Atlanta for 8th.
