A couple of things

Just heard a couple of things this weekend and I thought I would share.

1) I was watching a TO channel on BELL yesterday night called "The Grill", I believe. They were discussing various sports news. They talked about the Habs news and were all bashing what BG did, i.e. get rid of Zednik and pick up Sammy and Johnson. They say that both of them are softies and the Habs have too many of those. They say BG overpaid Sammy and the Habs are gonna be in big trouble this year.

They then went on to say that TO made good acquisitions on defence and should be signing Peca soon.

2) I listened to the radio this morning, first the Team 990 who said that Souray didn't deny requesting a trade this weekend at a ball hockey game in Montreal and this likely means he has and would be moved soon. Then I changed it to CJAD where Rick Moffat said Souray has put the rumours to rest and denied ever asking for a trade.... Take it for what it's worth but it seems someone is spinning something here...

Read the Stubbs story in the Gazette.  Perhaps someone can post it but I am of two minds as well.  Sounds like Souray likes playing in Montreal and appreciates what management has done for him regarding his injury woes and personal issues but I still come away with the feeling that he would welcome a trade especially if it meant being closer to his family.

He may have also resigned himself to the fact that will probably will have to spend one more year in Montreal and that would be okay with him since he will be a UFA at the end of the season.

Confused, yes!

The funny thing is that the cooking show has more credibility on Habs commentary than Hockey Night in Canada, Don Cherry or ....what's that loser's name...oh yeah...Healey.

I would be bitter too if my team blew $17 M on 3 defensemen that cant play in their own end....

And now I get to yell RAY-CROFT....RAY-CROFT versus the laffs....before the booins...life is good.

GO HABS GO!!!
