Well I was hoping we can all meet at la Cage aux Sports (sports bar) (http://www.cage.ca) inside the Bell Centre (street level entrance).  I can reserve a table and seeing that there's no other event at the Bell Centre on Oct 20th, the night prior to our official reunion, it'll be easy.  We can grab some sports bar food there (it's not bad actually), and make our way to Cresent where the night life is, or for those who want to venture to Stanley street to check out he ballet.   All places are walking distance from the Bell Centre (5min to 10min walk).

Sounds great Mario, I was even thinking about going there  before the game on Saturday,  The atmosphere is amazing there before  a game.  Also looks like I'll be getting in alot earlier Friday, just depending on if I drive or take the train or fly.  So whatever the group decides is fantastic with me, since I'm the only one coming by myself, I'll just follow the crowd.  Can't wait this will be fun and really exciting to meet the people I talk on this site with.    Johab and myself can have a beer together to celebrate the fact our birthday is on the same day.

I unfornately did not bail, Mario was eager to dump my seats, so he did so. My friend whom I wanted to bring was slow getting the money to me, so I couldn't pay until I got his share of the money (I can't pay for 2 tickets, school is expensive). I was then told to have the money by tuesday, and before I read the email, the date had passed, and tickets were sold.

Jay with all due respect, I believe the facts are a bit off.  First off tickets were purchased 2nd week of August.  On Aug 15,, you expressed a desire to join us.  4 weeks had passed.  Always extending my deadlines.  I had to pay for the tickets, and incurr interest charges on my credit card for late payment.  Finally, I did give you until Tuesday.   You replied ON Wednesday that you would pay me.  After many deadlines, I sold your tickets Wednesday morning, and only got your email later that day.

So please, don't paint me as the bad guy.

Sorry you can't join us.  Meet up with us on the Friday before the game, and I will buy you a round.

I clearly pointed out that it was my friend who was the slow one in my post. I never painted you as the bad guy, you did what you had to do, I never said otherwise. I just wanted people to know why I wasn't going to be there. Of course I am a bit upset that I'm no longer in the group, I was looking forward to meeting alot of people here, but I got over it quickly.
However, I kept you informed as to why the payment wasn't recieved. I clearly said I could not pay for both tickets seeing as how I am a student, and school was about to start.

I personally will not be booing breezer and will have a big inflatable hammer handy to "bonk" any of the gohabbers in reachable distance who do. The guy does not deserve to be boo'ed. Theodore on the other hand. Hey, its open season on the guy. Im still thinking of a catchy quote for my bristle board.

Ok so, i think that all the tickets have been spoken for, expect for Barrys....sucks im not gonna get to meet ya bud!

So yeah, i will be coming into montreal sometime early Saturday afternoon. What im wondering is if there will be the Bell Centre tour before the game. super out anywhere? and pregame thing going on?? I believe we are all of age and for once im not the youngest one there!!! ( my friend is 15 days younger and i like to rub it in )

So What are the plans? Does anyone have some sort of mental itinerary? ( sp? )

Mine seems to be this

Friday october 20th- rest and make sure EVERYTHING is ready for next day

Saturday, get up bright and early, get all habs gear ready to go and test the vocal chords outside ( if i wake up 10+ neighbours, chords are in game condition ) Leave for montreal around 12-1 pm MIGHT stop at Habs Boutique at fairview and pick up a fiew more habs things for the game. Park car, walk around downtown montreal for a bit, meet up with you all for tour of bell centre if its on. Im guessing dinner at La Cage Au Sports, with some pre-game drinks? If not there i would recommend St Hubert right by the bell center. And you cant beat their chicken. Go to game, enjoy watching habs win, after game celebrate with a few more beers, do some more downtown partying and such, and then either find a hotel for the night or head back home. We will see how the driving issue goes ( 1 of us cant drink if we are to go home that night )

Thats what i think my weekend will be anyways, or something close to that guess all i need answered is

Meeting place for everyone saturday ( time? Where? )

Activities for saturDAY before game if any?

Supper before the game or use the all you can eat free benifits from our tickets ( im fine with that too )

Whos doing beer runs and in what order? :D

After the game activities?

Johab, don't be silly!  Get a hotel booked - you aren't going to want to drive all the way back to Hawkesbury after an evening with us!

I think the idea is that we're all meeting at the Cage pre-game, but unsure about the tour time...I know that I (and habboy as he is now known much to his chagrin) are getting in on Friday night.  So are Melissa and Rob (MC and Rip) so we'll be getting together with Mario et al on Friday between 7 and 8 at the Cage.

You refer to "after the game".  I think I'll be blind by then.

Let me just say....

Thanks to all who have made the Gohabs.com reunion possible. I just re-read the entire thread, and love how EASY this was to put together. I made the suggestion way back in July, expecting to have a few people join us from the near area if we were even able to get tickets that is. To my suprise we have people from toronto, heck even BC coming and even almost a couple from NS. And what i found even more suprising is how many we COULD have had. 30 seats were available thansk to Mario. I cant get 2 decent priced seats to any other habs game during the season if IM the one looking. I seriously cannot wait for the game and the chance to meet many great people whom ive become close to on this board. Meeting Nil d was definatley a great experience and im sure this will be just as good.

Again, thanks to Mario for all your work, without you, NONE of this would have been possible! My countdown has officially started, 3 weeks boys and girls!!! 3 WEEKS!

Rwp2le & I were goin' to Montreal before X-mas anyways, so this worked out perfect. We wanted to go for an important game & not one against the Sabres or Leafs... we see those games already. rwp2le, Mario & I had a few games picked out before the reunion was planned & the AV's were on top of the dates to chose from. The reunion made the decision "when to go" a bit easier & cheaper. (we were gonna be gettin' front row tickets on the glass for the 3 of us) It also nice to have the food & such included in the price too.

Hip Hip Horray ... it's only 3 weeks away
