Looks like Ferland will also come in as the 4th right-wing and he brings pleanty of toughness and work ethic. But I agree, it would be nice to have one more top-six or at least top-9 player with toughness and skill together! Samsonov brings grit though and he is not shy about charging into the corners.

P.S. Just a thought... TO didn't put together a deal to get Roberts, what if we sent Aebischer to Florida as part of a package for Roberts and maybe Anthony Stewart or go bigger and try to land Bouwmeester to replace Souray? Roberts brings all the things we were looking for in Shanahan except he has less offense and more defense and only costs 2.25...

Color me stupid but I still think that Latendresse is going to make the team this year but only if he has the same kind of pre-season he had last year. I also think that signing Aebischer in no way means he will still be here at the start of the season...if the right offer comes along. I think Gainey still has one more move up his sleeve before the summer is done which will include Souray (as much as I hate to see him go), Abby or a combination of both.

Roberts has said publicly that he is going to Toronto, either to play, or to retire, nowhere else.
