I had to tell someone.

This is not at all hockey related, but since most of us on here are "friends" of some kind, I fealt I would share my good news with all of you.  For the past year I have been working long hours, helping my work with the largest launch we have had in our 20 year history.  MC and myself have had many discussions about my work life, and what kind of stress it puts on me and our family.  Well it looks as if some of my hard work has finally paid off.  Late last week my supervisor wanted to have a meeting with me, and of coarse I thought i was in the dog house again for something I did, or said(LOL).  Turns out that the first of 2 transfer presses I have been launching has gotten some attention in my industry, and he told me that I am going to be on the cover of a magazine with my transfer press.  I am sure none of you have ever even heard of Metal Forming Magazine, but it's the GQ of the stamping industry.  So the main reason I shared this with my Gohabs friends is because I am supposed to keep it tight lipped at work, and MC and my parents are tired of me saying, "Hey, I'm gonna be on cover of a magazine."  Thanks for listening to me go on about myself, but like I said, I had to tell someone.


 


I will post the cover when it gets released.

'rwp2le' needs make no apologies for his success.....even though your bride scares the heck out of And-o (much as his own does at times)!


Anyway...And-o always suspected that you were into heavy metal!!!


(seriously though...if you are into forming metal for automotive/industrial applications...why on Earth don't you take your press and sculp a 3 or 4 piece aluminum 'under-shell' for the chassis of a new car!?!?!?!  Think about it!  Offering a light-weight...form fitted...multi-piece shell that totally prevents rusting and exposure to the elements!!!  And-o is giving ya gold here!)

excellent! You have to put up the cover when you get it...

My lower half was on a cover of EQ (the GQ of recording studios) once... that's about as close as I got...

Oh, and tell your lovely wife I'm workin' on that tweety for her

& thanks again Brooky.... but no rush, I'm a relatively patient girl. (BTW ~ I'm also thinking of having my ankle tattooed with the Habs symbol that is actually various red, white & blue flowers in the shape of the Habs symbol)

...and it's a darn good thing that And-o has such thick skin (to compliment his thick skull) or else the shock of there being a 'Mrs. And-o' might have hurt a tad!

For your info gang...MRS. AND-O (and she is not an imaginary wife) is anything and everything a man could ever want!  If And-o were 'socks'...Mrs. And-o would be 'shoes'! 


And-o tells ya though.....Mrs. And-o vs. MC Girl (THE CAGE MATCH) would put any one of Don King's recent productions to shame!!!  WOW!!!  We're talk'in a real chair busting...hair pulling...mud flinging...spit flying...face peeling time!!! 


And, did And-o mention that 'Mrs.' is a kindergarten teacher???  So, at least she has loads of experience dealing with children.


P.S. And she thinks Saku doesn't cut it either (the truth)!

For the record..... MC would never go toe to toe with Mrs. And-o. If you are afraid of her, she is a good woman & is A-O.K. in my books Us terrifying females must stick together ya know.


& MC is not that scary And-o, unless of course you happen to disagree with her.... then the rules change. Otherwise, MC is super duper sweet in every conceivable way & would give ya the shirt off her back if ya needed it. (I know I've set myself up for ridicule with that last sentence )


My point is.... I may go off like a firecracker from time to time, but for the most part... I'm a darn good seed. ..... So And-o..... be not afraid.....

What is it about women that we love scaring us so much?lol. The furture Mrs barry33 is only 5'2 and 120 soaking wet..but when she says jump I say how high? Funny, the other night I am sitting having a beer with CJ outside his RV. Now here is an NHL coach, former player, used to having be the bad ass with a bunch of hockey players. Karen, his wife ( a wee little thing herself) is in the RV doing dishes. She hollers out "Claude I told you half an hour ago to go put the garbage out and I am STILL looking at it". The big tough coach then gets up, says "sorry dear" and goes into the RV to take the grabage out.


Congrats Ripple. Personally, especially when there is not much hockey news, I LIKE to hear a bit of personal stuff about people here. As much as we all have different views, we are alot like a family. I especially found the irony funny in And-O's wife being a kindergarten teacher
