As patient as the Habs have been with Ribeiro, I am of the opinion that Zednik had an off year with only 16 goals. Prior to that, in his previous seasons with the Habs, he had 22,31 and 26 goals. Those aren't so shabby numbers that would make me want to give up on him because he had one bad season. During the run-up and playoffs, Zednik showed flashes of his old self prior to getting caught in Gill's or was it MacLaren's tracks. If I was Gainey, I would see what he does early next season before dumping him.
