I'm surprised he only got 4years/$16 million - - - Montreal should have let Bouillion go, and used that money towards McKee.  The D partners could have looked like this:

Rivet-McKee

Souray-Markov

Dandeneault-Komisarek

I hope Gainey doesn't overpay for Arnott, because he's the best free agent left out there.  Arnott would be a great acquisition, but he's not a superstar.

I will not criticize Gainey yet because the dust has not near settled..but I will say that if he does not get it done and sign some key players and fill some holes soon he will not look good. His reason for notaking trades at the deadline was that he "preferred to see what free agency had to offer to fill those needs"..well Bob..we are waiting.

We go through this every year.  And besides Kovalev, who was the last non-ex-Hab to sign in Montreal as a free agent (and I'm talking guys who make a difference.)  Seriously, what's up?
