Why on Earth would a team even consider trading their best defenseman and their best prospect for Chris Pronger (which is the widely reported asking price) when Jovo-Cop, Chara, or Redden could be signed July 1st  without giving away anyone (cheaper price too)???


 


Crys Huet will make roughly half of what Jose Theodore will this coming season!  So, how did Bob Gainey overpay??? (Just think of the options that extra $2.5’ish million provides)


 


Rod Brind’Amour makes significantly less money than Saku Koivu!  Why?  How? (And-o just found that extra $2.5’ish million)


 


How much is it going to cost to resign Ryder’s 30+ goal scoring (40+ or 50+ potential as his prime years approach)??? (Boy would And-o take his ‘Saku Payscale’ slip into Bob’s office for that negotiation)


 


How much will Bouillon get???  (Is And-o the only one who thinks that ‘Beef’ is more valuable than Craig Rivet in the ‘new NHL’?)    


 


What would a package the likes of Abby and Zednik net the Habs in a trade during training camp???

I get the feeling we will get to see what that package deal will net before training camp even starts. I'm hoping we can sign Arnott or someone of his caliber for a reasonable price and then use that aforementioned package deal to net a top 4 defenseman. I can't wait for Saturday and not because it's the weekend either..........

exactly and-o i would wait and see if i could sign the others before trying for pronger , as for saks vs brindy , well 1 was given a pay raise he deserved and 1 has taken a paycut witch he deserved , brindy is this years primeau , he had a good playoff run but didnt do enuf in the reg. season to earn his 5-6 mil salary , these are his last 4 seasons when he was vastly overpaid ,and you think koivu is overpaid ,this year the stars aligned for all the huricanes and they won the cup

as far as ryder goes he doent lead this team he feeds off his linemates by that i mean if his line does well he does well, he doesnt elevate his linemates and had a worse year than last year he rfa not ufa like koivu . he gets 1.5-1.75 tops . boulion he gets 1.25 tops , for a 6 dman take it and run .
huet is fine and abby and zed are gonna get us boulion's replacement , trade them for a 3-4 dman then the d are shuffled so boulion is replaced .
