Is Luongo still in la-la land?
Permalink Closed

So this morning a close friend of mine spots Roberto Luongo at my gym (Luongo trains in my hood during the off-season when he visits his folks).  Anyway my friiend did some small talk with Luongo, and he was still in shock over the trade.

Yeah, it's called a reality check.  Don't get me wrong,  he's a world class goalie, but after stalling for two years now over a contract extension that he wasn't ever going to sign anyway, and prolonging the inevitable of wanting to opt for free agency, his agent, Gilles Lupien, sure did a number on him.

Luongo is still in dis-belief.  His wife, who comes from Miami, is not happy at all.  Oh seriously.  What did he expect Keenan to do?  I am surprised Keenan showed so much patience with this guy.

Also, Luongo is now entering his 7th season.  I think it's about time he wins a Vezina and better yet, makes it to the playoffs for the first time.

Its seems a continuing trend now about wives not being happy.....seriously, they should keep their mouths shut, its not only them that are effected from the trade ya know.

Anyways, I don't see how he can be in shock, he knew a trade was coming, I guess maybe he's shocked at where he was going???? At any rate, he knew what was happening or else I would never have known before hand....
