EXACTLY! The guy signed on the dotted line and the Oilers treated him A1 along with big dollars. He owes them to do his job and fulfill his contract.

johab what do you think hes gonna get if he has another good season like last , it wasnt a great season , given bobs penchant for overpaying i can see him getting 4 mil . i believe he rivet and sourey are all ufa next year , i can see rivet ginen mtl a hometeam discount but i think the other 2 will hold out for what they can get .

Isn't Rivet from North Bay, Ontario? He's a Franco-Ontarian (sort-of - I heard him speak French once; it was painful to listen to), not a Quebecois.

But he does seem to like it in Montreal - I suspect as long as his buddy Saku is in town....................

Gainey should trade off Markov at the trade deadline if he's asking for big bucks. Instead of losing him to freeagency or having our cap tied up even further

niller i said hometeam ,not hometown , as its the only team he played for so he considers it his home. i cant see rivet wanting to leave mtl for money . i think he will give them the hometeam discount .
